I've been going there for about 3 years primarily I go for gardening. Flower gardening and vegetable gardening. I was impressed with their perennial flowers and many Iowa natives that you could add to your flower garden that were great pollinators they also had a nice selection of perennial shade flowers which is always a problem. I was really impressed with their vegetable outlay of plants many many which were propagated from Seed Savers, an Iowa company, that is committed to heirloom seeds and having plants that were appropriate for your growing area. for example the jalapenos are got work

Thoroughly DISAPPOINTED in Ted Lare, and although I normally don't write reviews I felt it was necessary this time. I bought 11 trees from them in April of this year during their Spring Open House event where trees were 20% off. All of the trees were planted as instructed and watered properly (especially during this dry summer), but unfortunately 3 of them are doing poorly. I inquired today about their guarantee on trees, and was informed by Ryan that their one-year guarantee ONLY applies if the trees were purchased at regular price (WHAT?!). The 11 trees were $130 each; with a 20% discount

Ted's Garden Center is a great place to shop for your trees, flowers, and plants. I got some amazing plants for my vegetable garden this year and they were tall, healthy, and a very good price. The variety of plants and flowers is fantastic -and I loved how all of the veggies were well marked with information cards about the plant and vegetables. Some of the flowers were more than I wanted to pay for them, but that is fine too. The garden center has specials going on all of the time, so it's not hard to find a day or a coupon that will meet your needs exactly.

Ted's Garden Center is rather close to our home so when we need something for the outdoors, we stop here first. The place is gorgeous! I love the atmosphere of the place and all the unique items they carry. The staff is always very helpful and friendly. I will admit they seem to be a bit pricey but their knowledge and closeness make up for it. Right before they close for the year, they have a 50% off sale which is well worth the stop.
