West Austin Dance Academy is a dance studio that proudly serves the greater Austin, Texas area. WADA is located in Lakeway, Texas and has students from Austin, Lakeway, Bee Caves, Dripping Springs and all over Central Texas. Dance classes are offered in ballet, pointe, tap, hip hop, lyrical/contemporary, tumbling/acrobatics, leaps and turns, and musical theater as well as an award winning competition team.

Our staff will ensure each child has the opportunity to reach their potential and dreams - whatever those may be! Amy Swift-Reynolds is a fourth generation dance instructor/studio owner.
West Austin Dance Academy offers a variety of dance classes based on age, experience and ability. We offer classes for beginning, competitive dancers and everyone in between. If your child is new to dance we understand finding the right dance class can be overwhelming. Please feel free to contact us with any questions whatsoever.
At West Austin Dance Academy we strive to deliver the highest caliber of technique in all our dance classes. Welcome to the Austin Dance Training Program (ADTP), a dance program designed for dancers taking their skills to the next level. This new branch of our program is made to increase dancers skills, as well as help with parent scheduling during this pandemic, and provides a safe and social environment for the dancers.
Thanks to technology we will be opening our digital doors and will be providing you with an online dance experience for your dancer to keep them moving, learning, interacting with their friends and having fun during this time! We are very lucky to have amazing friends all over the country that are not on spring break yet.

We send kids there, because they seem to have good teachers. Yet we can't be 100% sure if the teachers are good or not, as we can't compare with other teachers in other places. But we are definitely sure their front desk and administration is bad. And I mean very bad.
Constantly our mails aren't replied, even after one or two more mails. This is about almost any issues, either urgent or non-urgent. They say if we send out on Friday, we'll expect a reply on Tuesday or later, as they don't work in the weekend and replying takes one or two business days. Note that we&apos

Our kid started ballet lessons at WADA as a toddler, and continued for almost 2.5 years. It had begun well, with caring instructors who were very dedicated. But our experience started going downhill around 2017 - especially with frequent instructor changes... to the point that our kid wasn't really learning much, and we eventually dropped out. Also, never felt diversity is encouraged here (their Facebook page and the students they showcase being a testament to that).

My daughter has been at West Austin Dance (WADA, as they refer to it) for just 2 months now and LOVES it! They accepted her last minute due to a recent move and she was so nervous not knowing anyone. The girls and teachers there are so sweet! It is such a family environment where the teacher and students really bond! This studio is more challenging, but my daughter comes home on fire after each class, still excited about what she's learned. Glad we ended up here!!

We have been dancing with WADA since we moved here in 2012. I have been very pleased with the level of technique instruction my dancer has received. They don't just "teach to the routine," as some other studios we have been with have. They are especially great with beginning dancers--starting year 2 with my little! This also marks our 3rd year on the Competition team. Our experience has been great, little drama, and fun all around with dancers and their moms. Id recommend to anyone!

My daughters have danced at West Austin Dance Academy for over 6 years. We had been to a couple of area dance studios but never found one that truly put technique as a first priority. West Austin Dance has a unique way of allowing the kids to have fun, while pushing themselves to the next level. Whether you are looking for a studio to take your 2 year old to a Saturday morning class or your 12 year old that wants to compete dance on a highly competitive level and every level in between....this is the place to for your child.
