Asbestos flooring was manufactured in various sizes until the mid 80s, with it's heyday in the 1930s through the 1960s. The asbestos fibers are firmly embedded into the tiles, and pose no risk unless the tiles are aged or broken, allowing asbestos to contaminate the air.
