Although you may join us in-house, we continue our beer and food carry-out option, featuring a rotating selection of weekend specials available Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Spent grain flatbreads, biscuits & gravy, poutine, Brussels sprouts, house-seasoned chips or fries, spent grain energy bars, and dessert from Stallie's Sweets are available all open hours.
We keep making headway in developing our "continuing" beers (some would dub these "flagships, " but this seems a bit restrictive for us-we enjoy the progress and development process in different styles) and we're happy to share our current offerings. Would love to chat with you to hear what you'd like to see more of in the future!

We'd been brewing beer at home for over 25 (Jonathan)/over 20 (Susan) years and it had always occupied some part of our minds that ultimately, we'd spend a good portion of our days in a brewery. Way back when, we didn't know what shape that would take or when, but we're here now, ready to share our own space and creations with you!

What an enrichment for the community of Huxley. Great inside and outside sitting. A lot of personal touches. The staff was very friendly and very knowledgeable about their beer selection. The food was extremely tasty and not your normal pub grub. We had the roasted Brussels Sprouts and the Chimicurri Flatbread with pickled onions. The beer was tasty and has something for every beer connoisseur. The Scarborough beer was the most unique beer, I have ever had and weirdly appealing in a good sense. We will be back!

This place is a real gem! We took the short drive from Des Moines to Huxley to check out Fenceline Beer Lab. We wanted to find a place which brews good beer and serves good food and this place was just what we were looking for. We shared the Brussels sprouts and two of the spent grain flatbreads. All were absolutely amazing! I tried three different styles of beer, Pelican (a ginger-peach saison), Honey Truncheon (a dark Belgian strong ale with cherry) and Whale,Whale,Whale (and American pale ale). All three were amazingly soft and smooth on the palate while being full flavored and spot-on for the

Exciting new brewery to visit in the area! I really love that they incorporate the spent grain from the brewing processing into their foods and have rotating weekend menu. I would like a non-alcoholic kombucha (Wild Culture perhaps?) on tap for the designated drivers. With a nice variety of beers and foods I know we'll visit here often.

Food is on point. Brussel Sprouts were amazing and the chips were awesome. Of course this place is called a beer lab and that they are. An eclectic selection of hops and spices. My favorite of the night was the Picket Cream Ale with Key Lime. I would certainly recommend a stop as it is a unique experience in a town without a lot to experience.

Fenceline Brewery is off the beaten path. Somewhere south of Ames IA off of exit 102 on 35 is Huxley. Not from around "these here parts" use your navigation app; You won't regret it. Ever seen Children of the Corn? It's not like that and the people are genuinely midwest nice. A working-class town. The brewery is on main street
Fenceline is owned by a husband and wife team. They shared with me how they came up with the name and unfortunately I will not do justice to a beautifully told story: The name inspired by the idea that the fenceline is 'where you meet your neighbor. Also a fence line is
