After traveling the world and experiencing different whiskeys and musical genres, we decided to make our way back and bring our journey home to Iowa. But the challenge was also providing a dining atmosphere than could coexist with a live music bar. Not many exist and most bars with music lack food and most traditional restaurants lack a full entertainment option.

1/18/22- My wife and I have been here multiple times usually with great experiences. However, this time we ordered our appetizers from our server and that was it. I had to ask multiple servers multiple times to just get our check, because the service was so bad. At one one point we thought about just getting up and leaving since no one wanted to even allows us to pay and leave. Disappointed in this go round.

Nice atmosphere, however went there for first time to relax and have a drink. They had some loud rap music on and I said it’s too loud I don’t like that music - the bartender turned around and said if you don’t like it you can leave so my wife and I had our drinks and left and won’t be back- too bad just moved here and my first experience it was very disappointing!! Don’t have to tell me twice to leave because I hate Rap music at a whiskey place. Not appealing.. I don’t think this place will make it as is.

Drink service a little slow. We weren't in a hurry, but would have consumed (purchased) more if more frequent server visits to table and if drinks ordered arrived quicker. Server was nice and accommodating. Food wasn't bad. Worth visiting again. Would have appreciated if whiskey choices listed were actually available on the shelf.

My wife and I visited for her birthday. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming. The duck fries were like a hug from the inside out. The Mac and cheese with added chicken & bacon was amazing. The chicken parmesan sandwich was fresh, sweet, crunchy and spiced well. Drinks were delicious an old well-balanced. Priced was fair and live music was great.

Went here tonight to check out their new menu and their remodeled place. Ordered the duck fries to start and they were very tasty, hot and crisp! The sauces were unique and a pleasant change from my usual… ranch dressing, which I didn't know I could eat fries without! My husband had the Whiskey house sirloin and I had the Salmon Risotto, but substituted their salmon for their marinated grilled chicken. Their Risotto with red bell pepper puree and grilled asparagus was sooo good and flavorful! The chicken was very tender and had a great flavor, but the grilling still came through! My husband

Cool joint with great food, great whiskey and live music! The burger, duck fries & fettuccini Alfredo were excellent! My favorite drinks were the whiskey sour and stave & stout (sweet smooth bourbon with notes of cherries & chocolate).
The drinks came out a tad slow, but you can tell why! They have fresh herbs and are meticulously poured. Lucas was a fantastic server! We will be back and highly recommend!

I love the atmosphere, it's warm and cozy. The staff is inviting and friendly. The chef inspired food is delicious, way beyond bar food. There is even a stage for live music that I will be checking out soon! The Whiskey House is definitely being added to my favorite places to hang out and grab a meal.
