PBK Primary Care is a clinic that was created with the purpose of practicing family medicine the way we believe it was intended to be; personal, friendly, and genuinely interested in the health and lives of our patients. We spend time with our patients in order to incorporate a more holistic approach to your overall good physical and mental health.

Yes, we can (and do) diagnose and "fix what ails you, " but our goal is always to help you accomplish more. We strive to also educate patients about the many natural alternatives that are available so you may limit dependence on traditional prescription medications. The idea is not for you to get by on less, but rather to gain the skills, habits and outlook on your overall health to make life fuller and more enjoyable.
Services
PBK Primary Care was created on the premise of helping those patients who are typically turned aside due to their type of insurance, or simply not having any. In addition, the vision was to also establish a small primary care and internal medicine office that does not need to see a large volume of patients a day, but rather focus on a smaller group of patients that we may learn to know very well.
As insurance policies vary and the status can change quickly, we recommend you call your insurance provider to confirm that your Primary Care visit will be covered. We currently accept most major insurance policies. If we are not in-network with your insurance, we will bill them as an out-of-network provider.
Provided below are various forms that may be required prior to your visit. This will allow you to download this software, providing access to the forms. Please bring the completed form(s) with you to your scheduled visit. This will help expedite the registration process. When you arrive for your visit, please be ready to present your current insurance card and co-pay (due at time of service).
PBK Primary Care provides internal medicine and primary care services as well as limited pain management services. Eligible patients will be evaluated to assess the patient's chronic condition and determine if the use of medical marijuana is a viable treatment option for them.

If you suffer from a chronic or debilitating medical condition that may benefit from the use of a medical marijuana treatment plan, please call for an appointment, 203-244-9529.The Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection maintains a portion of their website focusing specifically on Connecticut's Medical Marijuana Program.

FINALLY..... A Dr. That actually cares!!! and wants to really know how I'm doing and looks at me as a patient WITH A NAME. and not just a number. I was so impressed with Dr Brew and how small and caring the office is.

It's a breath of confidence in our healthcare system when you find an educated doctor like Dr. Patrick Brew. Truly a knowledgeable medical doctor who uses evidence, method, and intuition to provide the most effective treatment plan.

Patrick Brew & his nurse Carolyn are THE BEST of the best! I moved here f/ another state & was paying out-of-pocket for Buprenorphine oral patches and Patrick Brew instantly stayed he could submit request & give me RX for oral sublingual Buprenorphine that is NO COST. :) This saves me $ the same day....What a blessing. He’s so compassionate, listens, helps, and truly cares about his patients. I’ve been with this group for almost 3 years- can’t imagine switching to anyone else. Both of these beautiful souls are such great people & I trust them with my life.

Excellent! I recently saw the provider for the first time. i was reluctant to see a Nurse Practitioner; I wanted to see a doctor, but one of my friends recommended him and I decided to go see him. Well, my friend was right. To me, the provider is a doctor, a GOOD doctor. I found him to be very knowledgeable (my health issues are complicated). He listened attentively to all my complaints, and showed compassion and understanding. He is efficient, very polite, and showed interest in my well-being. I will definitely continue to see him.

I remain astounded by this doctor and his beloved staff. I am in pain 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 12 months a year. I am hurting and still coming to terms regarding how to live my best life with this pain. I have had a slew of doctors, in my lifetime, and I have not encountered kindness, profound work ethic, generosity, compassion and empathy like Dr. Brew and his staff maintain EVERY day. Carolyn, Brandi and Sarah care as if you are a member of their own family and they tend to you with a compassion that even I remain awed by. They leave you with hope; when really, you are in such a physical

Dr.Taweh is a great person. He's a bit overbooked, because he won't turn down patients, so the visits are bit short, but there's no fluff, just info. Not sure about other physicians at the clinic.

Great doctor! tells it how it is which great as most doctors only care about charging for a visit and not very much about their patients long term health.

Horrible experience. He has no experience with any illness like ptsd or cancer pain etc.
Waste of time ,he talks in the third person has no clue about anything. Would not recommend him to anyone in pain. He says only lazy people apply for disability even if it's cancer. Pompous egotistical person.
