Dr. Abbasi is a Psychoanalyst and a Psychiatrist. She completed her Psychiatry Residency at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, MI. and sub specialized in Psychoanalysis at the Michigan Psychoanalytic Institute (MPI). She is a Training and Supervising Analyst at MPI, and the Institute's immediate Past President.

Services
At the Tampa Bay Center for Psychological Health (TBCPH), Aisha Abbasi M.D. and her team provide a small, private, therapeutic center where patients are offered affordable, high quality psychodynamic/psychoanalytic psychotherapy. All prospective patients will receive a free 20-minute initial phone consultation with Dr. Abbasi.
See Below for details about Comprehensive Psychological Assessments and Testing. Patients who may need medication will be appropriately referred to another physician for that part of their treatment, while continuing their therapy at the Center.
At TBCPH, we understand that all human beings struggle, at times, with feelings of anxiety and/or depression, problems in relationships, the inability to achieve our full potential because of fears we are not in touch with, unresolved mourning, unrecognized traumas, and a multitude of symptoms and inhibitions.

Dr. Abbasi offers a free 20 minute Intake Consultation, after which patients will be referred to one of the therapists at the Clinic. The work of each Clinic therapist is discussed with and reviewed by Dr. Abbasi, to ensure that patients receive good quality psychodynamic therapy. Patients requiring a Medication Evaluation or those interested in psychoanalytic treatment, will be seen by Dr. Abbasi, if she has time available.
