At Johnson Family Dental, we believe that educating our clients on how to properly care for their teeth is the most important part of preventing poor oral health conditions. Prevention is the most important part of dentistry. Knowing how to fix problems is our job, but its better if the problems never arise in the first place.
Bridges are one of the most popular tooth replacement options available today. With a bridge we can replace anywhere from one to four consecutive missing teeth. A bridge requires two healthy teeth or dental implants to act as anchor points for the fixed (permanent) prosthesis. We take an impression of the area that we wish to fill in with a bridge, which allows our dental lab to create a perfect replica of your natural teeth.
Brush and floss the area: The first step to help alleviate tooth pain would be to brush and floss thoroughly. This step will help remove any plaque or stuck food debris that may be causing the discomfort. Eleven years ago I had my four front teeth done with something they called bonding or composite veneers. A few years ago I started noticing my real teeth becoming whiter and my four front teeth becoming more and more yellow. My teeth have always been small and even when I had them first done, they were not much bigger than before. Dr. Johnson told me he wanted to fix my smile. So, we started the journey. I am so excited about my new smile! I had my old prosthetic teeth put in about 6 years ago while I still was wearing braces. As wear, tear and time went on the color of them had faded quite a lot. Last Saturday my husband & I were finishing up our packing for a 2 week vacation in Mexico.
