Services
The Tobacco Warehouse Inn features eco-friendly rooms with Smart TVs, Wi-Fi, full kitchens and baths. The newly constructed suites display elements of the historic building's original features while keeping in mind both the environment and the guest's comfort. Massive Douglas Fir beams supported by patina iron poles run through the living quarters of each luxury suite serving to highlight the buildings historical significance.
Crawford Suite gleans its name from the county in which it resides. Tall ceilings, art work, and soft color tones beautifully offset bold tile floors. The kitchen features a stove, microwave, cooking utensils and a full sized refrigerator. Prepare a gourmet meal and enjoy the four person dining room before relaxing on the sectional couch with a movie or one of your favorite TV shows.
Original Douglas Fir beams highlight tall ceilings in the Freeman Room. Antique wainscoting blends with vibrant wall colors and soft tile tones to create a bright, sunny, welcoming feel. The kitchen houses a microwave, stove, and full sized refrigerator with a quaint dining area nestled into open surroundings.
The steampunk grace of the Davenport Suite features elements of old world charm combined with modern luxury. Patina iron poles belay the weight of douglas fir beams subtly dividing the rooms in this open concept floor plan. The master bedroom houses two Queen beds and a television surrounded by bright artwork.
The Thoftne suite is named in honor of a local Norwegian immigrant family. Tobacco was a primary crop in the early twentieth century. The Thoftne family grew and sold their tobacco through our historic warehouse. We borrowed the room's warm blue and red colors from the Norwegian flag to honor the family and their historic heritage.

A special place and a great home base for exploring the Kickapoo area. The transformation of the warehouse is really good and comfortable with some nice high end finishes and unique wall art yet exposed Doug fir beams and original iron columns. We stayed in the Freeman Suite with a full kitchen making meals easy (not a lot of options for eating out in Soldiers Grove proper - although a drive to Viroqua or neighboring town widens the options) - the bathroom was well appointed, large. The bedroom was in the back with a comfortable mattress and lovely bedding. The living space in front worked fine

A hidden gem nestled among the hills and valleys of Wisconsin's Driftless Region. My wife and I stayed recently in the Crawford Suite and were blown away. To get a 1-BR condo/suite of this quality and cleanliness, in this area, at these prices, is amazing to us. We travel a lot and have paid much more for much less. We will be back soon!

The room and building were stunning. We stayed in the Davenport suite. The attention to detail in the design is extraordinary. The design is top-notch, but it was so comfortable simultaneously. It was an easy, human-free check-in (if you want that) and the service was very personable from beginning to end. Easy walk to fish in the Kickapoo River. Easy drive to Viroqua for the shops and restaurants. We took the backroads several times which was worth every second. I'm telling y'all, this Tobacco Warehouse Inn is something special. My wife and I are avid travelers and have high standards for neat

Perfection! Beautifully renovated suites in a historical tobacco warehouse with all the comforts of home. Very clean, quiet, spacious and plenty of amenities, everything needed for a great stay. The suites are absolutely lovely and surpassed all my expectations, by far the best option of places to stay in the area.
