The Historic Trempeleau Hotel
We offer full service dining indoors. For outdoor/self-serve dining, you may order food from the bar and it will be brought to you. You will need to visit the bar to replenish your beverages. Our menu changes daily based on what is available and the chef's inspiration. Our cooking is from scratch, using local and sustainably sourced ingredients.

Please call or visit our FB-page for the latest offerings. The Mississippi is the perfect backdrop for local, national and international acts sharing their craft both indoors and out. The Historic Trempealeau Hotel is nestled on the banks of the Mississippi river. One of the few survivors of the 1888 fire, the Historic Trempealeau Hotel retains its classic charm, while still offering modern style.
Services
The Historic Trempealeau Hotel is nestled on the banks of the Mississippi river. One of the few survivors of the 1888 fire, the Historic Trempealeau Hotel retains its classic charm, while still offering modern style. Patrons line up at the vintage bar just like they did in 1888. Diners sample our broad menu from the screened porch.
Cancelation Policy: If you cancel with less than one week's notice, you will be charged for the room if we are unable to rent it. We are empathetic to your plight, but have just fifteen rooms to rent. Two Night Minimum: From Memorial Day through Halloween there is a two night minimum for all weekends in our suites, the Pines cottage and the Kingfisher rooms.
Located just a few steps from The Hotel, these two queen suites are just the right place for an escape. Look over the mighty Mississippi from your picture window. After a day of adventure, soak your weary bones in the Jacuzzi tub while enjoying the warmth of the gas fireplace in the building that was once the home and practice of legendary Doc West.
Have your own cabin right on The Hotel grounds. After a day of hiking, enjoy a soak in the Jacuzzi tub or take in views of the Mississippi and bluffs from the private deck. There's a comfy queen bed in the bedroom and if you're traveling with a few friends, a queen size fold out couch is in the living room.
Directly above the bar and restaurant are eight Historic sleeping rooms. Take a step back in time to unplug and unwind. You wont find a television or air conditioning here. These very clean and quaint rooms have a double bed (except 10 which has a double and a single), dresser, chair and window. Two rest rooms with showers are shared with the other lodgers.
