Craniofacial surgery is a subspecialty of plastic surgery involved with the skull and facial bones as well as the relationship with the skin, muscle, fat, nerves and surrounding structures of the face. A craniofacial plastic surgeon is trained in treating three main categories: Reconstruction of traumatic injuries, reconstruction of congenital deformities or birth defects, and reconstruction of defects resulting from tumor or cancer surgery.

Craniofacial disorders are the result of abnormal growth of the skull or facial structures. These conditions may be due to a birth defect, injury, or disease. Some pediatric deformities are apparent from childbirth while others can take months or longer to become evident. Furthermore, some syndromes are immediately recognizable and others require imaging and laboratory tests to accurately diagnose.

Our experience with Dr. Payne and Jennie (NP) was great, they are both wonderful professionals. Our pediatrician recommended Dr. Payne for the ear molding procedure, we started seeing them at 2 weeks old and 6 weeks later his ears are all fixed, non invasive and no discomfort. The earlier the intervention the better the results. :)

Dr. Eric is a great doctor , calm , explain everything thing of what he will be doing . Is office staff is the greatest people over you wish it is the same of all the doctors you . My mom did a skull cooperation , his nurse Sonia did everything she went over and beyond to help me . I wish to give him more .

Dr Payne is an extremely talented plastic surgeon. My baby daughter had surgery to separate toe syndactyly. The results were far beyond our expectation. Dr. Payne and his team are amazing! I had an accident over the weekend and they were quick to fit me in that Monday. The initial call with Katherine was very personable and she made me feel like I was in great hands before I even came to the office.
From the moment I walked in the door I was treated as if I were and expected guest.
His medical assistants were so kind and extremely informative.

I took my 10 year old son to Dr. Payne's office to have a revision on his neck. Dr. Payne was so kind, reassuring and gentle with my child. His condition really hurt his self confidence. Dr. Payne did a wonderful job taking care of my son and helped him get his confidence back. I am eternally greatful to him and his staff for their care and kindness. Dr. Payne is wonderful at what he does and I am so thankful for his care. He is a beyond 5 star physician who really cares for his patients.

I never noticed my daughter's ears were uneven until my pediatrician pointed it out. He recommended Dr. Payne to us. Luckily we were evaluated in time to get her uneven ears corrected with an ear mold early on rather than requiring an invasive procedure, which is required if you wait. The ear mold is rather simple. The only time she cried was when they shaved some parts of her hair around her ear. This contraption did not interfere with her sleep at all. The only nuisance was keeping it dry and making sure she doesn't pull it off herself. This is easily avoided by having her wear those hospital

I'd highly recommend Dr. Payne to anyone. Our 1-month old had the ear wells put on in Dallas but we had one fall-off while we were visiting family in Houston. Dr. Payne, despite us not being a patient, worked us into his busy schedule the day of. When it was evident it would take a follow-up visit in addition to working us in to his busy day, he met us in his office on a Saturday morning. And on top of his sympathy and graciousness regarding his schedule, he delivered incredible results. We would highly recommend him as a doctor and person.
