I was working on a 100 year old dentist chair and accidentally broke the post that attaches the arm rest. It's threaded on both ends and has a bit in the middle that stops it from spinning. Both threads were non-standard pitch so it would be impossible to just buy a bolt and jury rig it to work. I searched around Tracy for a machinist who could turn me replacement and I found N.Q. Engineering. Dan Quigg took a look at the broken part, did a quick sketch from a few measurements, and a few days later, I had a perfect replacement post. N.Q. Engineering is a family run business that does quality work. I first worked with Noel Quigg, founder of N.Q. Engineering, Inc. in the early 1990's, when I was an engineer at The Clorox Company. We were building bleach fillers on a fast timeline and Noel produced quality filler parts, on schedule, that are still in service today. Over the years I have watched Noel's son, Dan, grow into a fine designer and machinist. More recently I worked with Dan to design, machine and assemble an invention of my son's. Dan was so instrumental in the design phase that he is listed on the patent as an inventor

These guys are amazing! They were able to machine out every project I’ve had for them. We’re a custom home builder and fabricator and need customized brackets, machined sleeves, and miscellaneous parts all the time and NQ Engineering is always on schedule and respond to us timely.
