From its roots that took hold in the early 1980s, Texas Recycling has become a leader in the Dallas/Fort Worth area in value-added, quality paper and commercial metal recycling. Founded in 1992 by the Litman family, Texas Recycling has grown to fill more than 175,000 square feet of manufacturing and warehouse space in its Dallas-based operation.
The Litmans sat in an empty 30,000 square foot warehouse in northwest Dallas. They worked from a card table, folding chairs and a "brick" mobile phone, which represented the front office. Nothing had been collected for recycling, yet. The recyclables are shipped worldwide from the company's new home with more than 175,000 square feet near Fair Park in Dallas., Texas.

This facility is well organized and clean. Most of the employees are friendly and polite. However, there are a couple that need some instruction on communicating clearly. The ability to explain certain polices to customers in an appropriate manner. Without making idol threats. Like "I can go get my truck and pull your vehicle off the property." Especially when the employee has not fully explain the procedures when closing timing arrives, and the vehicle is not unloaded. Just saying "That's it we closing stop unloading." Without further explain tends to provoke inappropriate behavior from the customer

I had a aluminum wheel to sell from a car accident that happened earlier this year. The place is in a not so safe part of town surrounded by a tone of ran down buildings. The only way to get money is to make a sale to them and allow them to mail a check to you. I have waited more than a month and still no money (only 10 dollars) but to get this money I had to let them copy my license photo my car and license plate get an employment verification as well as a fingerprint a lot of time wasted for no money

I sold my copper gutter salvage to them and they even offered to leave a bin and then come pick it up! The other recycling center did not offer that and the price was better with Texas Recycling. The three employees I talked to during the process were very professional. I even watched them weigh it on Barry Street and it was a neat processI am waiting on the check but you can assume I got it if this 5 star review is still here.
Update- the process for individuals for copper took some patience and follow-up. However, I feel like they are more business focused and this was more of a favor to me
