These people are the best! Especially Ms. Jamie Sarver. She has been extremely helpful in search for a house to rent. I have never worked with such an organized group.

I really didn't have any problem with the staff or maintenance or the price or anything like that. But I often had unruly neighbors throughout my several years and several different apartments I've had with them. As well it seems like anytime I left an apartment there was always some excuse to keep most of my security deposit. This is really just par for the course for any rental agency anymore.

Mecca are a predatory company that takes advantage of college kids to squeeze every penny they can out of them. Every time I rented from them I wouldn’t not only not get my deposit back, but would receive ridiculous charges for the pettiest of reasons. They charge you for cleaning regardless of how clean you left the place, even if it was spotless. The scumbags even had the Gaul to charge me $2.50 for the postage to send the bill. They should be ashamed.
Also when I first rented from them our house was infested with fleas so cleaning isn’t exactly a priority for them to begin with.

They are generally responsive, but anytime I had a problem they told me it was just too bad. I didn’t have hot water for my whole first two weeks living there and I was told to just shower at different times. They also changed the pro-rated amount I owed for my final rent payment from $270 to $350 with no notice, so I was thinking I had paid in full come to find out that I still owed them. Not to mention, my breaker blew often during the winter months when I used my microwave while the heater was on. It was very affordable and overall ok but I would be hesitant to rent with this company again

Just had a maintenance guy in to fix a problem with the water heater. Mecca has the best maintenance crew on the planet. Every time they come here they are efficient, professional and friendly. I can say the same about the office staff. Great people to rent from.

We've lived in our apartment for several years. We reported a major leak in the Central Air/Furnace combo unit. We have no AC at all. Then our fridge started leaking.
We're on Day 3 with no service technician. I just spoke to the office and they refuse to say more than they acknowledge that there is a complaint ticket, but they will not schedule a technician.
Avoid this company. They will not repair any issues that come up in your apartment. Now we're likely looking at a mold problem brewing as well.
Beware if you plan to rent here.

I rented from Mecca when I first moved to Bowling Green in 2013 and they were great! I also know several others who've rented from them who also speak highly of them. They were never hard to get ahold of and always nice & considerate when talking with the staff, both in the office & the maintenance staff. They are a wonderful family owned business with years of experience & many long-standing tenants. I recommend them to anyone looking to rent, both college age & professionals!

I've been renting from Mecca Management for over 2 and a half years now. My experience with all of the ladies in the office staff has always been pleasant! They're very professional and have always been courteous and kind whenever I've had inquiries! I've had a handful of minor maintenance issues and "Wow," do they take care of business! They've addressed every issue with speed and a super professional and competent crew of guys! My only hiccup with the agency has nothing to do with the incredible folks across the board that make it up, but rather the rent increases that have been a little steep

So far I've had an excellent experience dealing with Mecca. This was my time renting from a business and so far I'm happy I chose them. Quite a few reviews had me a bit worried but it seems as long as you uphold your end of the agreement ie; paying your bills on time you shouldn't have any issues. Only had to request one maintenance call and they came immediately the next day(wasn't an emergency.) Lisa was super helpful, answered all questions we had without talking down to or around us. Highly recommended!

I have worked with Sharon the most throughout the time I’ve been with Mecca. She has been very helpful with work orders with my current apartment and also with leasing another apartment. They were understanding when I was late with rent during the pandemic. Overall a decent experience if you communicate with the office.

I graduated and moved home recently, it was a rushed effort since I was pregnant and for my mental health i was just ready to leave. The apartment needed cleaning like most apartments would, it was just me and my dog n cat because of the carpet I didn't expect to get any money back. I paid 300 in a pet deposit and 440 in rent. I get a bill in the mail saying I owe them 95 dollars. Of course they charged me stuff like 20 to clean the toilet and 25 to clean the mirror and sink and 30 for the tub and so on for the fridge and other things. They charged me 85 to clean the carpet. Added up to go

I rented from them for a few years and it was a mixed bag.

I loved the location of my apartment and it had good character as a unit in a converted house. They were also really understanding when I had to move out with most of a year left on my lease (signing in October for a July-July lease is annoying, especially if you're not a student and your life isn't that predictable). They finally set up an online payment system recently, which is nice and means you don't have to mess around with actual checks anymore.

But Maintenance was slow to respond to requests and it often took

Bowling Green Estates used utilities in my apartment while it was still in my name, without my consent.

I had moved out of my apartment in April 2018, of course knowing I would still be responsible for rent and utilities until my lease ended or it was re-rented to some one else. The utility bills stayed pretty consistent from April to June (very low, because nobody was living there). My lease was scheduled to end July 31st, 2018. On June 18th, 2018 I handed Lisa Bricker (who was in charge of Bowling Green Estates) the keys to my apartment. She had told me that many people want to move in to these

Mecca have been, by far, the best landlords I've had while living in Bowling Green. Maintenance responds to issues quickly, the crew in the office are super helpful and they even went above and beyond to help my boyfriend and I move into our neighbors larger place after she moved out, ending our (at the time) current lease early with no penalty. And they were fair in what they took out of our deposit!
Whenever friends ask who to go to I always, always, always suggest Mecca.
