Services
We have been caring for families in Wilmington, New Hanover County, Myrtle Grove, Pine Valley, University, Forrest Hills, and Brunswick County for the last 25 years! Dr. Daniel and Lisa Phelps began the Phelps Family Dentistry practice in 1994 and have been providing their community with gentle dental care since.
Jackie has been working in dentistry for nearly a decade as a fantastic dental hygienist. She's always busy around the office helping patients, assessing their oral health needs, providing thorough cleanings, and teaching them about all the things they can do at home to keep their smile bright and healthy.
Once you become comfortable with the dentist who is regularly checking your teeth, you don't want to go to someone else if you need a filling for a cavity, or if you'd like dental implants to restore missing teeth. Maybe you would like to explore cosmetic dentistry to refine and beautify your smile.
Since 1994, Dr. Phelps has been helping people from across Wilmington as a general dentist by providing the best dental care available in the most relaxing environment possible. He received a bachelors of science in Biology from Penn State in 1987 and went on to earn his doctorate of dental surgery at the University of North Carolina in Chapel four years later.
Dr. Lisa firmly believes in helping people of all ages and stages of life have a healthy smile in an environment that's relaxing and judgment-free. She completed three years of undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill with an early acceptance into the School of Dentistry.

I lost a cap and was worried about having to wait several weeks to get it fixed. Dr. Dan and Dr. Lisa responded to my message immediately! I have been going to Phelps for more than 10 years. They cultivate a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. whenever I have needed dental work, it has been accomplished with the utmost care and concern for my comfort. This is the only place I've EVER had painless cleanings.

I was referred to this establishment by a family member. I’m so happy that I followed through with this particular office. I was in need of some pretty intense oral surgery and had a horrible experience elsewhere in Wilmington prior to visiting Lisa Phelps. Lisa and her assistant have been wonderful to work with since the beginning. Sitting in a chair at a dentist office has always been uncomfortable for me, but I will say that Lisa and her assistant Sue have done a wonderful job at making me as comfortable as possible. So happy I found these folks and I highly recommend that you consider Lisa

I've had many dentists over the years but I've finally found my last dentist! The office staff is amazing-pleasant and fun, warm and inviting, quick with information or returning my calls. Dr Phelps is hands down the best Dr I've been to. The quality of care from planning to follow through is spot on. I wish I had found these folks years ago!
