I booked Southern Cross through HireAHelper to help with a recent move. Southern Cross was not very reliable and overcharged me. My original order was for 4 helpers for up to 4 hours arriving by 8am. The evening before the move I received an email at 5:48pm that only 3 helpers would now be coming. The next morning nobody arrived by 8am and I began calling to find out if anyone was coming. Nobody answered the phone at Southern Cross or HireAHelper so I left messages. I finally received a call back around 8:45am telling me the 3 person crew was on their way for 9am arrival. At 9:10 nobody had arrived

WARNING: The movers were rude and disrespectful. While my elderly mother packed the movers smoked outside on their phones. Consistently late. When they dropped off her things they threw it in the garage with absolutely no effort to move it inside. I should mention she is a 77 year old woman. Furniture not put back together and some pieces broken. If you are paying thousands they should at the least bring the boxes inside especially for an older woman. Do not waste your money on this trashy service you’d be way better off hiring people on task rabbit!!

I would recommend Southern Cross Moving to anybody who is planning a move and can’t do the heavy work themselves. I called with two days notice and it was no issue for them to put together a team to send out. Other than the rain slowing them down which wasn’t their fault, they were professional and never stopped working. Super professional service and they took incredible care of making sure all my belongings got delivered safely. If I could give them 10 stars I would!

We have moved 10 times over 25 years. I’ve hired cross country movers several times. Southern Cross Movers is by far the best and most fair priced movers I’ve ever dealt with. When you pay by the hour there is a little expectation of milking the clock, NOT WITH THIS COMPANY! I would recommend and use them again with no hesitation. I seldom write reviews but in this case it’s warranted. Corey and Anthony are as good as it gets. The third guys name escapes me but he was no different. Excellent service and response.
