Dr. Brophy's appointment enables the Gaiser Center to offer around-the-clock medical care for inpatients and positions the center for future growth as it further integrates Medication Assisted Treatment options into its care plans.

We are the substance use treatment provider of choice for individuals, families, service partners and funders throughout the western Pennsylvania region and beyond.
Services
From its inception in 1971 as a grass roots response to a community need, the Gaiser Center has consistently been known as one of the region's most reputable treatment programs for alcohol and substance use disorders. Our experienced and compassionate staff and modern facilities uniquely position us to provide the highest quality of care for the families we serve in the years to come.
Clinically Managed High-Intensity Residential Services for adults. Individuals with chronic addictions are professionally treated and the Gaiser Center is co-occurring capable. Patients in this level are able to tolerate and use full active milieu or therapeutic communities.

Services offered are described as co-occurring capable and we are staffed by trained professionals offering addiction treatment, mental health, and general medical personnel who provide a range of services in a 24-hour treatment setting.We believe that addiction is a biological, psychosocial disease which disrupts cognitive, psychological, physical and spiritual development.
Trauma-informed environment and trauma-informed staff. Kitchen, laundry, and recreation facilities are all on site. Fitness Center and Yoga classes. Individual and group counseling. Attendance of AA and NA meetings in the local recovery community offered. Supportive and safe environment that promotes change in the client's lifestyle.
Outpatient Treatment (OP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) Treatment for adults consists of less than 9 hours of service/week and are rooted in motivational enhancement therapies, education and other evidence-based strategies. Services are offered during the day, before or after work or school or in the evening.
Two forms of identification (one should be a photo ID with date of birth) All prescribed medications that can be taken in treatment, in the original bottle 10 days' worth of comfortable clothing (Washer & Dryer are available) Toiletries that do not contain alcohol Cash. Patients may carry on their person up to $25, but any additional cash must be kept with accounting.
