The Administrative Office of the District Attorneys' (AODA) is a state agency created to support and promote the work of all of New Mexico's District Attorneys, including but not limited to support, training, dissemination of information that supports and aids prosecutors in the prosecution of crime throughout the state, legislative matters pertinent to prosecution and any and all other matters that directly affect prosecutors in the State of New Mexico.
Testimonies provided by victims and witnesses are an integral part of legal proceedings because they play a key role in determining the outcome of cases and the prosecution of offenders. In certain cases, those who testify express concern regarding their safety and well being after agreeing to, or participating in, a criminal proceeding.

The Inspection of Public Records Act is intended to provide the public with access to information governmental affairs. The law requires public access to virtually all public records with a few exceptions most records are available for public inspection. Each state agency and local governmental entities have designated a records custodian to whom requests to inspect records should be addressed.
The DA's Office prosecutes the offender who committed the crime. In most situations, these will be cases where either a felony has been committed, or it was a DWI or case of domestic violence. In many misdemeanor cases, the police agency who brought the charge may prosecute the case, so the DA's Office will not be specifically involved.
