We currently require ALL dancers, parents and teachers, regardless of vaccination status, to wear masks inside the studios and lobby area. ALL CDC Staff Members are fully vaccinated. We welcome ALL dancers to come to class during Halloween Costume Week in their favorite costume, Halloween outfit, or character! Please be sure your dancer's costume is comfortable to dance in! Dancers will still need to wear a proper face mask while in costume.

Capitol Dance Company has been serving San Jose and the South Bay Area since 1978, educating students two years old to sixty years young in the art of dance. For over 43 years, we have grown and expanded while maintaining our positive reputation for quality dance instruction. We are a family run business that is fortunate to be able to share our love of dance with you!
Miss Leslie has been teaching dance since 1968 and has loved sharing her passion with dancers. She studied Ballet with Colin Russell (Royal Winnipeg, Irish National Ballet, and Former Ballet Master for the Sadler Wells Opera Ballet). She began her professional dance career with the Dancers Repertory Theatre in Oakland, CA.
Termination from parent or guardian must be submitted VIA EMAIL. The official termination date is the day CDC receives written notice of termination, not the last day of student's attendance. Registration and payment for our in-person classes must be completed online prior to the class. If a class closes due to maximum enrollment, a wait list will automatically be generated in our system.
CDC offers Drop- In classes, the price is $25 per class. This option is ideal for dancers that want to try a class before enrolling for the dance year. Drop-In classes must be scheduled and approved with our Office Coordinator, info@capitoldancecompany.com. Once your request is received and approved, further information regarding payment will be provided.
Our dance programs are designed to create unique and technically sound dancers. Each style of dance encompasses fundamentals with different technical skills. We respect these differences and offer our students proper training in each style of dance we provide: Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Tap, and Hip Hop.

My daughter is 4 years old. She went to the studio for one month. Today I was several minutes late for her pickup. I saw my daughter was outside of the studio. She was crying with two adults who was trying to help her. The teacher let all the kids out without seeing their parents even though she’s only 4 years old! The teacher even didn’t know that my daughter couldn’t find her parents!Luckily she met the people who helped her and didn’t go to the busy parking lot. The studio shouldn’t let this happen today and should never let this happen again.
