Our philosophy is that "children learn through play." Children are encouraged to be independent and to develop skills that foster a positive self-image. Hands-on activities with age appropriate goals are available in classroom centers. Each child is unique and is encouraged to work in his or her own way to develop to full potential. Our goal is to foster a love of learning in a caring atmosphere. Children and staff are welcome regardless of race, religion, sex, national origin or disabilities.
Services
Our facility includes a play yard, two large classrooms, a music/multipurpose room and a room that houses family resources and a Children's Lending Library. Curriculum is carefully planned to offer children a wide variety of opportunities to create, imagine, construct and investigate. Children pursue independent, self-initiated activities and activities that foster positive peer interactions and promote cooperation.
Our spacious classrooms are arranged in centers so that children can freely explore the wide variety of learning materials and activities that are available in each interest area. Our learning themes and materials are changed monthly. Children move around the classroom at their own pace. The Pre I class plays in one of our classrooms and the Pre II and Pre K classes share the second classroom.
Our school year is September through May. Applications are also accepted throughout the year if spaces become available. Open House Tours, when prospective families meet with the directors and tour the school, are held in the fall and spring. Children and staff are welcome regardless of race, religion, sex, national origin or disabilities.
