Welcome to Serenity Acupuncture & Wellness Clinic, a holistic approach to health care. Our mission is to be "Your partner for better health where minds are cleared and bodies are healed through acupuncture." Our services of Traditional Chinese Medicine include Acupuncture, Tui Na (massage to help move blood) Moxa, Cupping, and Gua Sha.

Cherie was professional and thorough in listening to my history of severe shoulder pain. After 3 treatments my pain has eased but I will continue with acupuncture after my holiday. The lessening of pain has enabled me to sleep better and I have a more positive attitude to my health.
Services
Cherie was a Certified Pharmacy Technician with CVS for 4 years before and during her matriculation in medical school. From a medical condition (PCOS) that was diagnosed in her teen years, she saw that the combination of Natural Medicine and Acupuncture helped resolve her cysts on her ovaries. She knew that these "Alternative" were working because there were no cysts that showed up on the ultrasound.
Acupuncture is a treatment with roots in traditional Chinese medicine. During an acupuncture treatment, we will identify places where Qi, or the flow of energy, is blocked in the body. We will then identify the corresponding acupressure points and place small needles there. The needles stimulate the Qi, provoking a response from the body.
Cupping therapy is a popular form of physical therapy that has a number of health benefits. During a cupping therapy session, your practitioner will place special cups on your body to create suction. The cups are typically made from glass, bamboo, or silicone. They will heat the cup using herbs, alcohol, or another substance, and then as the cup cools down, it creates suction.
Gua sha is a natural therapy and beauty treatment that is part of traditional Chinese medicine. It is an excellent way to relieve chronic pain, and it is often used as a skincare treatment as well. During a gua sha treatment, we use massage tools to scrape the skin and stimulate blood flow in the soft tissues.
Moxibustion is a form of Chinese therapy that uses heat to stimulate the flow of Qi in the body. During a moxibustion session, we burn a compressed stick of dried plant matter close to the skin to generate heat. The plant materials are called moxa, and they do not touch the skin. Moxa is usually made with dried mugwort, although it can be made using other plants as well.

Pretty sure this place doesn’t exist. I followed the directions and there is no suite 203. I called three times and left a voicemail and nada.

I'm very happy with my experience with Dr. Torrence. I had been experiencing pain in the heel of my right foot. I was a little nervous, but Dr. Torrence goes above and beyond to make sure that your fully comfortable throughout the whole process. I'm so happy say after 1 treatment with Dr. Torrence the pain is gone especially sense I'm in the Skilltrade local 8888 and on my feet for more than eight hours a day building Government Ship. I can finally get back doing what I do best delivery freedom! You get two thumbs up and two pinkys.!

I've been dealing with intermittent back pain (scoliosis and other) for years, and have come to expect a certain amount of discomfort. As a Chef, I'm on my feet a lot, so it comes with the territory. My doctor referred me to a chiropractor, but due to the pandemic, appointments are hard to get. I became curious about acupuncture, and decided to give it a shot. To say that I'm amazed by the results would be a huge understatement...I'm all in! FYI, contrary to popular belief, the needles don't hurt. I've had 4 sessions over a 4-5 month period, and immediately (and several days) afterwards I feel

I was so happy with my experience at Serenity Acupuncture. From my very first interaction with Cherie, she was so concerned for my health and well being overall. She is very knowledgeable in her craft. I am so happy that a black woman is delivering such necessary services to the Charlotte community. If you have been on the fence about getting acupuncture done..don't hesitate to book with Cherie! She will take care of you from beginning to end. She really tailors the experience and treatment to your needs.

Dr. Cherie was/is awesome!! I had left shoulder pain for over a year...she stuck a needle in my right leg and instantaneously felt relief in my shoulder!! She's so thorough and conscious of your comfort throughout the entire process. She also does check-ins with you the day after your appointment which I thought was such a nice touch.

I'm so happy Cherie is here! I received an initial acupuncture session with her, and it was great. Cherie was very thorough in her assessment, and not only gave a very comfortable service, but she was also happy to explain the various acupuncture points she treated and why. I will definitely be back.
