Jason Zaplin has been in the industry since he was 10 years old. A graduate of the Institute of Culinary Education, Jason knows all sides of the event industry - the back end as an educated food expert, and the front end as the DJ, in the spotlight where he loves to greet and engage guests. As president of DJ Zap, Jason is passionate and enthusiastic about his company and the joy it brings to event-holders all over the NYC metro area.
Karla Murrilo is a trained dancer with a zest for bringing happiness to guests and hosts. Count on Karla to rev up the crowd at a North Jersey bar mitzvah, NYC wedding, or NJ Sweet 16. She dances at all of DJ Zap's events, including birthday parties, engagement parties, and corporate events. Adam Halpern is a 21-year-old motivational dancer from Rockaway, N.J.

10 stars out of 5! Jason DJ'd our daughter's bat mitzvah party and I am not exaggerating when I say that he took everyone in attendance to a new level of joy. Within 30 minutes, he had every kid there hyped up and on the dance floor. Kids that didn't know each other were dancing together, everyone bouncing without an ounce of shyness. Eventually the adults were invited to the dance floor too, everyone moving, everyone grinning like kids.
Jason's company also offers a photo booth and we are so glad we opted for him to bring that as well. The booth attendant Todd was incredibly friendly and positive

After a year of wedding postponements, my wife and I were looking for a DJ to help us bring our family together to celebrate. Jason Zaplin Production not only provided us with music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception but did it with the utmost professionalism, personalizing the music to reflect of our style. I worked with Jason for my husband’s surprise 30th birthday party in April! He really set the tone for our celebration and played all of husband’s favorite music. Our guests enjoyed having him and couldn’t help but bust a move at our small outdoor celebration! He was professional, responsive, and followed Covid precautions by being fully… vaccinated and wearing a mask when in close contact with us. We will absolutely use again later this year for upcoming celebrations. Thanks for making my husband‘s day so special and working with me last minute! A true class act

We just hosted our 2nd daughter's Bat Mitzvah yesterday. DJ Zap Music was our immediate go-to after already have DJ Zap himself dj our 1st daughter's bat mitzvah 2 years before. We booked DJ Yames and he was FANTASTIC! He engaged the kids, he engaged the adults, everyone was dancing, kids playing great games. It could not have gotten any better! I HIGHLY recommend! Our daughter's bat mitzvah was last weekend. It was a total blast in large part because of DJ Zap and his crew. The energy was incredible and just about everyone danced - including my 82 year old mother! Jason is highly professional and both Jules and Chris were able to read the room to keep every group - from adults, young adults, and teens - happy. Thank you DJ Zap!!!

DJ Zap is phenomenal! He deejayed our daughter's Bat Mitzvah party in Brooklyn and exceeded our expectations in every way. He had the kids dancing up a storm (and adults too!). We've never seen a DJ interact with kids like this. Jason is a natural and incredibly skilled at keeping the momentum going at a party and keeping the vibe just right. He's… also an awesome emcee. We were able to put everything in his hands and trust him to run the show--so we could enjoy the party--and he did not disappoint.
