Traditional Chinese Acupuncture utilizes super-fine needles inserted into the skin at acupuncture points to move qi, oxygen, blood, and fluids in the body. Many people ask, "What is qi?" The answer is not simple, and translating this term is commonly debated among scholars of Chinese Medicine. Although many consider qi to be "energy" or "life force, " these terms are inadequate.

For patients living at or below the poverty line, a discounted fee is offered. Please call ahead to discuss discounted services, and bring proof of income or benefits to your first appointment.
Please bring or wear loose comfortable clothing that can be pushed above the knees and elbows, ideally shorts and for women a tank top. If clothing restricts access to appropriate acupuncture points, draping will be provided to maintain privacy.
