My first time going here and I had nothing but a great time! I showed my hairdresser (Alicia Reilly) what I wanted off a picture from Pinterest, and she matched it! I’m absolutely in love with my hair now, and can’t stop looking at it!!

I have zero complaints! Booking an appointment is beyond easy, the staff is friendly, the space is beautiful. I needed a haircut BAD and Kim was great. She asked what I wanted and went right to it. I was pleasantly surprised to only pay $65, having gotten my haircut somewhere else in Southold for closer to $80. (The North Fork is expensive and that's just how it is ‍) You can go to the barber shop and pay $25, but I guarantee you wouldn't get the same attention to detail you can get here. Even in corona times, I felt safe. Everyone wore masks and there was plenty of hand sanitizer available

The generosity of this place is enormous! I was squeezed in on a very busy week had a wonderful time talking with their stylist Ally while she cut my hair and I feel HUMAN AGAIN!!! What a great cut! Highly recommend!!!

Wonderful salon with a friendly and talented staff! Kerry has done my hair during my summer visits and I couldn't have been happier. She has a wonderful sense of knowing what color works! I look forward to seeing her again this summer!

I've been a client of Main Roots Salon for about 2 years now. Their schedule & location are ideal for the North Fork; it's hard to keep up on appointments with limited scheduling in a somewhat seasonal area. The salon has grown & recently changed locations (still in Southhold proper) adding more stylists, more space and some fun new neons & plants! You can make appointments via MINDBODY App or call & leave a message. I always feel comfortable expressing what my hair needs, feels like & aspires too~this is such a hard thing to achieve. Great salon. Kerry is a hugely talented colorist and stylist and after struggling for many years to find someone who I loved as much as my NYC stylist I came across her. The salon has a great, peaceful vibe so it's relaxing and not like other salons where it is a circus. Can't recommend enough.

Kerry has been doing my hair since high school. There is nobody I trust more than her and her crew at Main Roots. Whether it’s a simple trim or a full transformation, you will not be disappointed! The atmosphere is welcoming and bright, and the salon is decorated perfectly.

Kim did a really great job with my haircut and was very friendly. The place is clean, and the young lady up front (didn’t catch her name) was welcoming.

First I have to say the salon has so much natural charm and the decor creates a nice vibe. Kerry looked at the pictures I brought with me and we discussed exactly what I wanted. Loved the outcome and received lots of compliments. Prices were on point, already scheduled my next appointment!
