The Inn is very quaint and nicely decorated. They allow pets and their room price is very reasonable. The only drawback was the restaurant on site being closed.

Was charged for an extra night based on the fact that housekeeping came into the room a day after we had left the town and found someone sleeping in the bed. I had checked out the day before and our family was 2.5 hours away. I spoke to the manager who had to push the decision to the corporate office. No consideration for the customer or the fact that I had checked out of the hotel. I am disputing the charge, but will not be staying here again and recommend you closely check all room charges. Previous stays have been excellent.

Beautiful hotel. Staff was polite and friendly. Clean rooms with nice amenities. No pool/hot tub but still an excellent hotel worth every penny of the mid-range pricing. Able to accommodate large parties or special occasions. There was a wedding and family reunion going on this weekend as well and we still received first class service. Pet friendly hotel and restaurant. The Fluttering Duck was very pet friendly. It's got a nice outdoor patio or a cozy fireplace-side dining area and they have a bar-side area for the human only families. The Fluttering Duck staff brought out a complimentary water

They are easily the nicest hotel in the area. Robin at the front desk is just great, they have always treated us well. Catering can get a little pricey, but it's a good place.

My girlfriend and I stayed for a week. The rooms were very clean and had everything we needed for our extended stay. The staff was very helpful guiding us to various places nearby. I also highly recommend stopping by The Fluttering Duck for dinner.

Convenient to the wedding we attended at 3 Fat Labs. Dedicated free parking lot across the street, so no worries with on campus parking or permits. The Inn seemed very clean, updated and comfortable. Our room was beautiful, well appointed with fridge, coffee maker, and shower supplies. Great linens and towels! Loved the easy access free WiFi, ice machine located on our floor, and bright room with large windows. I had a work Zoom meeting to attend and the "library" was absolutely perfect for it. I would highly recommend this Inn if you are on campus for an event or visiting the Greencastle

Clean, professional, quaint, and helpful describe our experience. I'm a bit of a germaphobe and I had zero concerns at this Inn. The lobby, rooms, and restaurant all are updated and comfortable. Our original plans were to stay in Terre Haute but that hotel gave our room away as we were driving in from out of town. The Inn had a room available and made check in quick and calm so we could get some sleep. If I'm ever in need of a hotel in this area again I'd call them over any other hotel chain!

Sweet spot on campus with two restaurants and bar next door. Rooms were nicely decorated and beds pretty good. Quiet, easy to park and very dog friendly. We paid $110 for king room on weekday which we thought was great rate. We'd stay again.

The Inn at DePauw & Event Center is located on the campus of DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana and, perhaps more importantly, is frequently identified by locals as "The Walden Inn," which was its name when it first opened years ago and for many remains its identity despite ownership now having transferred to the university. With two in-house restaurants, 2 West Bistro and Fluttering Duck, The Inn also offers meeting/conference space and its location in beautiful Putnam County helps to make it a great option for weddings and other formal events.

I wouldn't consider this ultra-high end 5-star, but I really enjoyed my stay! I stayed while visiting DePauw University for work. The Inn is right on campus so if you're also there for a college visit I'd highly recommend staying there. Room was very spacious, clean, and extra comfortable. The bathroom was slightly outdated and a bit cramped, but served it's purpose. Appreciated the fridge, water, and mini Keurig machine as well.

Not really in "town" per say so not much to see if you're not there for DePauw, but there is a pub adjacent. I'd certainly stay

Called there today 3/16/2014 to inquire and possibly make a reservation. The woman I spoke with was curt, rushed and very rude. Apparently the name of the hotel changed as the hotel changed hands a few years ago and she was quite annoyed that I didn't know that fact. (Im from a few states away so I wouldn't know that) She remained rushed and aggravated with my 3 questions and was extremely unhelpful. Her attitude makes me not even want to call back and reserve some rooms. If I owned a hotel, Id be sure the receptionist represented my hotel well, by being friendly and courteous, and

Our first time here and hopefully not the last. They were undergoing some remodeling when we arrived but you could see how beautiful it was going to look.

One restaurant and one bar. Food was delicious in the bar, we had wings and clubs.

Modest on tap beer selection that had a few college kids in the bar who were very respectable.

Just accross the street was a 2 show movie theatre.

The lady that checked us in gave it a bed and breakfast personal feel to our welcome.

Beds are double. But worked just fine.

Nice facility. Room was clean and staff friendly. Located on the campus of DePauw which provides excellent area for walking. Downtown square is only couple blocks from the Hotel. Nice restaurant at the Hotel with decent lunch buffet and breakfast buffet. Both in the $10.00 range.
We attended a wedding here and the banquet room was very nice and the food and service was good.
Great location for a wedding as there is a beautiful Methodist church on campus and only block or so from the Hotel.

This is actually a pretty nice hotel. The rooms are quaint and clean. The front desk staff is always so friendly and helpful. They always have fresh coffee, juiced water, and cookies. The gym could use some updates though. Only one treadmill, one eliptical, and 2 bikes. Older machines but they get the job done I guess. Parking lot is across the street. Not much for food in walking distance but it's right in town.

I was here for an interview and didn't have a choice as to where I was going to stay. I don't know what other options there are in town, but I *definitely* recommend staying here!

The front desk person was super friendly. Apparently I have been away from the Midwest for too long, because I forgot what friendly people were like. They have a nice supply of videos that can be rented.

The room was very comfortable. I was happy to be so close to campus and have access to 2 restaurants in the building.
