Aside from being a long time dance teacher, Keri brings her experience from the business side of the dance world as well a degree in Special Education. She was a dance instructor in Minnesota teaching tap, jazz and hip hop to dancers ages 18 months-18 years old, as well as performing studio manager responsibilities for a local St Paul dance studio.
For the student's safety, no one is allowed in any studio without a teacher present, without permission. Arrive on time, or a bit early, and prepared for classes. Older dancers should arrive early enough to allow themselves to warm up their muscles prior to class starting. Payment Policy: Tuition payment is due by the 1st of each month.
This class is an introduction to musicality geared toward dancers ages 18 months-3 years old. We will focus on creative movement, body awareness, rhythm, and tempo. Parents are welcome to start the class with their dancer but are eventually encouraged to make this an independent class for their dancer.
The Meraki Company is MDA's competition lines. The competitive program lets dancers achieve a new level of artistry and performance beyond what is possible in weekly technique classes. Meraki Company Teams are built by placing dancers together that Compliment, Challenge and share the same level of Commitment.

My two little ones started taking primary ballet and tot rock a couple months ago and they absolutely love it. Their instructor Miss Emily is so good with them, keeps them having fun while also teaching them dance moves. Miss Keri the studio owner is always there and talks to the parents and is great about communicating upcoming activities and billing. The studio is extremely clean and just feels friendly. They also have in stock leotards, dance shoes , etc, that are actually cute and less expensive than dance stores which is nice so I don’t have to drive across town when we need something. All

One of the best, family friendly dance studios we have been too! They truly take our son under there wing and have taught him more than any other studio. Highly recommend this place to any parents out there, especially with boys who are not always comfortable being in a pre-dominantly female art. Meraki is part of our family now, amazing teachers and talents from all over!

We started last year after my daughter received lessons from a family member for Christmas and we are so lucky to have found this gem. You won't find an owner and her team that care more about their students and quality of program they put out. It doesn't matter if you take one class a week or 10, they treat everyone like they are on the competition team and are so encouraging with the littles. I can't say enough great things about Meraki Dance Academy, Keri, Karly and all the great teachers, staff, students and parents!
