Services
When I look back at my 30+ years of experience in home building and construction I realize it has always led me here: finding the problems others overlook and being able to share my knowledge to help members of the community. I have always been the guy you call when you have a difficult or unique problem to solve.
When you schedule an inspection with High range home, I highly encourage you to plan for 2 to 3 hours minimum. My inspections are highly participatory, and I encourage you to follow and ask questions. I like to cover every deficiency I find with you, in person; that way, when you receive the report, you have a complete understanding of your new home.
Our Complete Home Inspection for sellers is similar to a Pre-Purchase Inspection for buyers. We go through all your systems and thoroughly document minor and major issues with your home. We point out concerns that you as a home owner may be able to repair or address yourself, and report on and discuss issues that may require a professional.
Rodents in Colorado are a problem not just because they can destroy personal property and create problems with a home's structure, but also because they can spread serious diseases to humans and their pets. Rodent-borne disease may be spread directly -- by touching rodents or their urine, feces or saliva -- or indirectly -- by coming into contact with fleas or other insects that have fed on an infected rodent host.
Colorado has a very dry climate and you wouldn't expect mold or moisture to be an issue, right? WRONG! Mold and moisture problems are prevalent in our area. Due to the extreme temperature differential in our homes between the heated moist indoor air and the cold outside air during the heating season, condensation in ceilings and walls can cause mold.

We have hired Joe for 2 home inspections. He was great both times! Extremely informative and knowledgeable. I was impressed enough to hire him a second time. I didn't even look around. If you're looking at mountain homes- definitely book with Joe.

Joe is the best home inspector I've ever worked with. In fact, he makes all other home inspectors appear amateurish. He arrived at the property 1.5 hours before we did. Having performed a pretty thorough inspection already, we arrived and walked the home and property with him for another 3 hours!
Work with Joe and feel confident that you haven't missed a thing when buying your next home!!!

Joe has been a pleasure to work with. We're coming from out of state, and inspection deadlines come quick. I really needed an expert professional evaluation of the home to give me more comfort with the purchase, and Joe delivered. I now have a prioritized to-do list, and a mountain home pro as a contact.

The house inspection report was exellently documented with photos and explanations. There was a rating system that identified items requiring work that made it easy to negotiate and provides a plan on work that needs to be done. Joe was very knowledgeable and provided excellent tips on how to improve the area. He was very responsive to questions.

We hired High Range Home Inspections to do a pre-purchase inspection on a mountain home, because of their expertise with quirky off-grid properties and construction best practices. Joe was great to work with -- prompt, friendly, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. He was able to schedule the inspection right away and showed up on time and prepared. He walked around the property with us, thoroughly explaining all the issues he identified. He wrote a comprehensive, well-illustrated report that clearly flagged hazards and gave all the documentation we needed to ask the owner for remediation of the unsatisfactory

I used High Range Home Inspections on a property I'm buying and Joe was awesome! My new home is in the mountains so it was very important to find an inspector with relevant experience. Joe has decades of experience living and building in the mountains so he was able to answer as many questions as I could think of and offer tips for mountain living. Joe only books one inspection per day so he really took his time on-site going over everything. I was on a tight deadline and Joe was even able to get me the inspection report later that day. The inspection couldn't have gone better, you can't go wrong

This inspection was definitely money well spent! Joe was friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and thoroughly answered our barrage of questions. Not only did Joe spend an entire half day explaining the intricacies of our new mountain home, his report was equally thorough and included many pages of photos and easy to understand explanations of required and recommended work needed on our property. Joe went above and beyond by also giving us advice on things related to mountain living such as snow tires and snow blowers. Using High Range Home Inspection gave us more than a phenomenal home inspection
