Richard Browning, founder of the Browning Automotive Group, began his automotive career in 1934 when he joined the used car department of C. Stanlee Martin Oldsmobile in Long Beach, CA. Between 1934 and 1960, he worked in all departments, eventually becoming part owner and General Manager. In early 1960, he purchased the entire dealership and re-named it Dick Browning Oldsmobile.

The business continued to operate successfully as an exclusive Oldsmobile dealership in the Long Beach from 1960 until 1980. With space limitations from business increases and with an aging facility, the decision was made to relocate to an entirely new facility in the then new Cerritos Auto Square in late 1980.

I brought my car in for a B1 service I paid more than I should for a tire rotation and oil change they didn't even fill my tires asked for the general manager return my phone call never happened I live in Torrance CA where the corporate office is. And still went out of my way because of an associate Nathan was working there and he was great with customer service. He is no longer there.

I used to take my 2012 Acura MDX here all the time for service. I figured it's an Acura so I should get it serviced AT Acura. And I was OK with paying a a little more for it. Earlier this month I took the car in because it was making a weird sound. Happened when it was cold. I figured they could diagnose it and let me know what it was. When the diagnosis was complete, here's a list of what was needed:

Hood Struts: $300

Recently moved to socal. Did my first oil change at South bay Acura, but the experience was 'meh' (3 stars) compared to my Fresno hometown Acura. Decided to give Cerritos Acura a try and what a difference. Felt like I was in my hometown Acura, the vibes and energy was just there. Brought in my car to replace a broken motor mount (originally pointed out at south bay) and had the pleasure of having Don Haney as my service consultant, a man of ethics and commitment to exceptional customer service. We came here for my husband's CPO RDX A-Spec. We were working with Nate on another vehicle for myself but it didn't work out. However, Nate was so helpful and kind that when my husband said he was interested in the RDX, i told him that i wanna try to do business with Nate again. This time it worked out amazingly. Nate worked very hard to get us what we wanted. He was very quick about everything because he said he want to make sure he doesn't waste our time, which is so appreciated. We hate to have to write a bad review of this place because we had such a great experience with our sales rep, Golam. We spent significant time at this dealership and made a deal on a vehicle and were signing documents with their finance rep, Jaime. Jaime began telling us about Acura’s extended warranty program and we politely told Jaime that we were not interested in any extended warranty products (in fact we told the prior manager that before we made the deal). My husband and I came in to see the Acura A-SPEC.

As soon as we got off we were immediately greeted by Hussein. We definitely appreciate that, he was very knowledgeable on what we were looking for and super helpful and kind. We were also helped by Jonathan and they answered all our questions one thing my husband loved was that they made the process easy and not pushy. We all know that when you come to see a vehicle they are super forceful or aggressive, they had all the best interests for us. We told them what we wanted to pay and Jessy came in and gave us a great presentation and different options

Ask for Gary Haskell in the Sales Dept to assist you - you will be exceptionally pleased.

Gary was my sales associate upon walking to the Cerritos Acura dealership. I did not make any appointments prior and was there solely to ask if the car I wanted was in stock as I wanted face-to-face in person communication. He was efficient, prompt, and understanding. He listened to what I wanted and worked extremely diligent to get what I wanted (due to cars/chip being scarce) my car was actually in transit and I was able to start the paperwork right away that day.

When i say go to Acura in Cerritos! I mean run there! They have the best deals and best customer service. If you have good credit, bad credit, trade in or over mileage on your lease nothing is a problem they will work with you. Ask for manny he helped me get the Acura RDX black on black 2021! They work with your payment desired and down payment. 10 out 10 best dealer in southern California!

This location is too busy and probably that’s the reason for bad service at this location. Service agents don’t have time to take down your info, no loaners available for weeks. I also had break noise issue that hasn’t been fixed after 2 visits. Rather buy a cheap car so your expectations are set accordingly.

I recently brought my car in for a diagnose/estimate, I was assisted by Alfred. Left my car in for a full diagnose due to my car not performing well. I was given an inaccurate diagnose; which would cost me almost $1,000. I was charged almost $200 for the diagnose. I decided to get my car fixed a private shop. My mechanic did not do anything else asides from what the dealership had diagnosed on my car. A day later I got my car fixed the same issue I previously had came back. Same engine light was on. I called the dealership because I felt I was given a false diagnose. I left my car there almost

I'm updating this review because after purchasing my car I've hit obstacle after obstacle and the service has been horrendous.

My 2021 RDX started having a screeching sound in the breaks, a cracking noise whenever I went up a driveway, and the dashboard dimmer was broken! Not to mention that i found crumbs and stains on the leather of the interior. I contacted Acura right away and notified them. After three days of having it I took it in to service. I had a loaner car for about a week.

I was told my car would be detailed on the inside because it was given to me at the time of my purchase

Peter Browning, General manager at Cerritos Acura was exceptional. He was very courteous, and forthright in hearing my complaints about an unclear communication experience I had in the finance dept when I leased my 2020 ACURA TLX, that left my needs unmet, and a reason to lodge a less than satisfactory experience.
Before I spoke to him, other managers I spoke with, appeared to be acting with an intent to deflect, block and stonewall me in my complaints, and this left me very frustrated.
Peter showed that he understood the value of clear communication, and clear customer input in transacting business

If I could give 10 stars I would I was eyeing a Jeep they have for no more than 2 weeks and a Jeep was my dream car so I stopped a couple times looked at the price, mileage etc but then I stopped walked in on Saturday and test drove it and instantly fell in love besides the car being great the service was more than I could explain they really take care of you and help you out the best they can (with good record of course) everything I was promised I was given even better I can’t thank Gary enough !! Let’s just say I walked out with the car of my dreams that same day within a couple hrs

Hats off to Manny, Bud, Jessy and the rest of the team! I came in completely undecided and uninterested in purchasing a new car. Manny was extremely patient with me - even with me changing my mind late in the purchasing process!

Brought my car to here for some minor break issues, someone made a mess in my armrest storage with my hand lotion, the thing makes me mad is why you checked my armrest storage there is nothing to do with the break system. DONT LEAVE ANYTHING THAT YOU DONT WANT OTHERS TOUCH BEFORE TURNING YOUR CAR IN.
