Premier Physical Therapy and Sports Performance was founded in 2007 by two local Delaware physical therapists, Pat Williams PT, MPT, OCS, and Tom Windley PT, MPT, Ph. D. Pat and Tom sought to bring the region another level of care focused on the highest standards of clinical excellence in the region.
Their focus on that excellence was, and is, driving the success of the health of Premier's patients and communities. Since 2007, Premier has grown their model of clinical excellence with the addition of partners Wayne Woodzell PT, MPT, SCS; Jen Atwood PT, DPT, OCS, SCS; Katie Fulton PT, DPT, OCS & Rick Beeson PT, DPT, OCS.

Services
The clinicians at Premier Physical Therapy and Sports Performance are highly trained in the evaluation, treatment, and prevention of orthopaedic and sports injuries. We provide care based on the current best evidence and use state-of-the-art rehabilitation equipment to facilitate a rapid recovery for even the most involved patients.
Manual therapy is a hands-on treatment by clinicians to treat muscle aches, joint pain, and limited range of motion. It encompasses a variety of techniques including soft tissue mobilization of muscles, specific joint mobilization, and joint manipulation. Massage is typically the repetitive rubbing, stripping or kneading of muscle and fascia tissues to facilitate healing.
Our hand therapy services are provided by experienced and skilled Certified Hand Therapists (CHT). A CHT is an occupational or physical therapist that has advanced training in the evaluation and treatment of the upper extremity. The therapist is required to have at least 3 years of experience including 5000 hours of direct practice in hand therapy.
Surgeons routinely refer post-surgical patients to our physical therapists to help them recover strength, function and mobility. Our therapists provide one-on-one, evidence-based physical therapy treatment sessions to help facilitate your recovery and return to activities of daily living (ADLs), work, recreational activities and even competitive sports.
A balance disorder is a condition that makes you feel unsteady or dizzy. If you are standing, sitting, or lying down, you might feel as if you are moving, spinning, or floating. If you are walking, you might suddenly feel as if you are tipping over. Everyone has a dizzy spell now and then, but the term "dizziness" can mean different things to different people.

Premier Physical Therapy in Lewes is a top-notch facility - modern, spacious, has up-to-date equipment and is clean. The staff are friendly & courteous and make you feel comfortable. My therapist, Rick Beeson, is exceptional. What a gentleman! He has worked on this and that and encourages me in a firm but gentle way. I am most impressed.

Being extremely knowledgeable and providing wonderful theraputic services, Rick Beeson has helped me through post shoulder surgery and is now helping me to recover from, and deal with, lower back problems. There is no question he will not answer, he provides useful and hepful advice and is just a really nice guy to boot. Other therapists at premier have also been great. I don't think you could find better physical theraoy services that those at Premier.

I am a new client with Premier Physical Therapy and want to share how professional and knowledgable the staff is. I was assessed and given instruction on the exercises that would help my problem and then given an instruction worksheet complete with photos to take home to continue the exercises. I am doing better already. I highly recommend Jen Byrnes with Premier Physical Therapy.

Wonderful experience all around at Premier PT. I am very lucky to have Jen as my therapist. She does not "force" me to do any therapy I am not comfortable with, (there was a bad experience for me in the past with that), and the facility is immaculately clean. I would recommend Premier to anyone looking for good PT therapists.

When looking for great one on one Physical and Occupational Therapy please check out Premier Physical Therapy. They have the best one on one care in the area. Their therapist, Jen, Kristen Rick and Shelby take the time to listen to your concerns and goals. Learn what your Dr's goals are for you and help you reach them. They help you over those plateaus you may reach and even the emotional road blocks. They are not over appointed with too many clients at the same time, so they can work with you and monitor you well as you perform those routines you do without someone right on top of you every moment
