Dr. Eric William Syverson has been providing full-service optometric and emergency eye care for Summit County since 2016. He received his undergraduate degree from Miami University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in 2008. He continued to study at Grand Valley State University, earning his Master's in Biomedical Science and went on to study optometry at Indiana University, earning his Doctoral Degree in 2014.

After moving from Oklahoma to be closer to my fiance, now husband, I have lived in Colorado for over four years. My husband and I just welcomed our first child, Olivia Jo.

I don't usually post reviews unless a place is exceptionally bad or good. Loved everyone at Custom Eyes im Frisco and Dr. Cutler was great. Literally never had a real vision exam till now at 29 years old and the whole process was friendly, made sense, interesting and just overall a nice experience. Got fitted for my first pair of glasses ever and actually felt excited about it all. Thanks y'all!

The staff made getting an appointment easy. I love the new technology where no eye dilation is needed. Dr. Cutler was personable and professional. He helped me understand next steps and the need for a specific treatment. I felt that all members of this practice listened to my concerns and had my best interest in mind.

Great visit and staff. Dr. Cutler was very patient and genuine. I had been to the old Dr. and while I liked him as well, the new office has state of the art equipment and the tests they do are really cool. They show you pics of your eyes, walk you through them, nail the prescription in a minute. I don't remember pricing of the old Dr., but this was very fair and extremely thorough. They have everything you need from contacts to goggles. I'll go back with all of my eyecare needs.

This office has a new optometrist. SO upset and actually disgusted with the way patients are handled at this office. I paid $95 for an eye exam for 3 consecutive years with former doctor and now they are charging me $195 for the same procedure. Sure a hefty increase. Customer service is unbelievable. Rude behavior on the phone and just refusing to email me my records because I am choosing to change optometrist. So I emailed over an authorization to release my records which then conveniently my records could not be found when the new optometrist requested same. BUT, Custom Eyes had no problem finding

Completely UN-professional, disorganized, rude and inept staff, vindictive and Dr.s that flat out lie. They get very angry when they find out you just want an Rx for glasses or contacts, but plan to buy them for 80% less online. Confusing operation as well, they have 3 different locations, all owned and run by the same person, with different names. You call the local number for one office, call is answered in another office, but they don't tell you that, so you make an appointment at the office you THOUGHT you were calling, show up, and they tell you you're at the wrong office. My husband had another local optometrist previously, who set him up for cataract surgery in Denver. After the surgery, he made several visits for follow-up with the same optometrist, and complained repeatedly that his vision was blurry, and was far worse than before. This "professional" kept putting him off with "Oh, it's still swollen" and "It's probably just the dryness; use these drops", and then recommended he get glasses. (At a cost of $1,800!) my husband struggled for NINE MONTHS with the vision in his right eye. Finally he decided to get a second opinion

I too feel like I was scammed. Too bad zero stars aren't an option. Dr. Cutler seems to be thorough, but his staff are the ones to "change" things around. I went in for an exam and single vision lenses. Nothing else was mentioned during the exam, except for some drops (the prescription for that never materialized). But afterwards, the staff (not the doctor) said, "oh, you need bifocals". Hardly. Calling repeatedly with questions, *and* going to both offices to pick out frames, the office manager was never available (she said she wanted to help) even

No. Previous owners ROCKED, and we had gone there for years, so my husband and I set up exams together. He is on Medicare and discussed that with Dr. Cutler. However, we paid directly. When we got home and realized Medicare should have been billed, not us, he called. The woman he spoke with said they were "not set up yet" for Medicare. What? A medical office not prepared to bill Medicare??? Anyway, he was told she would check with Dr. Cutler, and someone would call us back. He was also supposed to call in a scrip he prescribed. No call back, and the drug wasn't even called

Points for Excellent Referral.
I received care from the professionals in this office years ago, before Lasik surgery. I stopped-in to see if I could get an examination with the new insurance provider at my work. The staff immediately recognized the provider and was aware that they were not part of the network, so I would have to pay for services. I received a prompt and friendly referral to another office next to the Frisco Transit Center that was part of the network for my provider, happy to provide me with the full range of services covered by my eye care plan. Custom Eyes gets a good review
