What makes our home different is "Person-Centered Care." We find out all we can about their likes, dislikes, hobbies and simply anything that they enjoyed in their family life. As we get to know them, we find that the pieces of the puzzle begin to fall in place and what once may have been an unknown transitional period becomes familiar and even "home."
What to consider before choosing the right assisted living home/ nursing home in San Antonio for yourself or loved ones. Considering moving into an assisted living home might be the right decision if your loved ones need to focus on their health and wellbeing without having to manage everything on their own.
We are having some great August activities. Our residents are exercising, playing with very cute pets. Our amazing residents at our Wayward location enjoyed a laid back day listening to vintage records. The sounds of Gene Autry, Glenn Miller, and Ernest Tubb brought them memories of the past. Music is so important to engage the brain, especially when it is the music they have enjoyed in the past.

After disastrous experiences at other facilities, we found the brand-new Carol Ann’s Home on Wayward (her 3rd location) in July 2017. It was the breath of fresh air we needed. They specialize in Memory Care and for almost 4 years it was Mother’s home.
Carol and her manager, Elizabeth are great at their business. They with their staff take the time to learn each resident’s history, likes and dislikes, and things that make them comfortable. The house is nicely furnished and cheery. The residents’ rooms are kept clean and fresh. The meals are excellent and prepared by the professional chef

I live 2000 miles away and being separated from my Mom is very hard. I finally feel my mom is in a safe loving environment 💓. Mom has been there almost 4 years now. I go to Carol Ann's almost every Friday to do activities with there residents. The staff especially Caren is very helpful and engages in the activities with residents and I. I always enjoy my time at Carol Ann's. I look forward to continuing my visits and conducting activities there. Thanks, for letting me engage your residents.
