Services
On Stage is our annual recital showcasing the breadth and depth of the dancers at West Coast School of the Arts. Our shows takes place during a week in June. One of our shows will highlight the award winning routines of our Company dancers who continue to excite and impress judges with their outstanding showmanship and impeccable technique throughout the competition season.
Paula Kessinger opened her studio West Coast School of the Arts in 2006. Over many years, she has trained students from Southern California as well as internationally. With her dedication to supporting students in dance education, many of her students and choreographers have achieved countless awards at dance competitions and conventions.

We have been a part of the West Coast School of the Arts (WCSA) family for 8+ years, and it has been a wonderful experience all around. We started when our girls were four years old, and since that time, not only have they grown as dancers, but more importantly as people. Under the direction of Ms. Paula Kessinger, West Coast offers as much or as little as you'd like for your dancer, from Princess Dance Camp to recreational classes to competition teams. This is my daughter's second season at West Coast. We are so incredibly glad we made the switch. The environment is so welcoming. Which is difficult to find in competitive dance. The families welcomed us in with open arms, the dancers support each other and the teachers support each other.
I believe this starts from the top down with the ownership and management. Paula is extremely hands on with the teachers, students and families. And it shows. She doesn't care just about their dancing but cares about their character as an individual.

Our daughter has been a part of the West Coast family for the past 7 years and it has meant so much more than dance to our family! The culture at WC is amazing. The dancers support and encourage each other and the parents are kind and helpful. These are competitive dancers who strive for excellence but never at the cost of character or class. The tone is set from the leadership of Miss Paula who runs the studio like a in impressive CEO that can also wear the hat of mentor, artist, and friend. The teachers are nice and committed. The parents are a huge part of this place. You have to deal with a lot of other parents - the good, the bad and the ugly. It gets crowded. The halls can get so crowded you can't get through without pushing through - the parents & their kids don't get out of the way - they don't care, it's like, oh well, everyone has to do it so why should I be courteous and move for you? Some parents just sit in their cars it's so crazy in there with other parents and kids crowding the halls. The location is good and bad - good because it is surrounding

I'm a dancer there and it's all like one big happy family. everybody knows everybody in the studio. the teachers provide a safe and wonderful environment that makes me feel at home. what's really nice is there's a break room where you can relax, do your homework, eat dinner or a snack, and just talk to your friends. west coast is definitely a winning studio. I personally have never gone to a competition where west coast hasn't taken home atleast half of the first place trophies. if you want to come home a winner, definitely go to west coast. it's like my second home

My 6 year old daughter has been going here for 2 years. The staff is nice and courteous and down to earth. I see my daughters musicality improve and she enjoys going to her class and practicing her moves. The only time that is gets a little crazy is during recital time. With such a young child, it seems very intense but there are all levels of students there so it is understandable. I would recommend the school.

This is such a GREAT, talented, caring, fun and wonderful Dance studio. The teachers are ALL amazing and make you feel welcome as soon as you enter the front door. All 3 of my daughters had such a wonderful expierience there and are excited to get back into it during the summer time. Paula is such an amazing teacher, mentor & person that we will never go anywhere else! She is such a positive role model for all the kids. They also put on an amazing, jaw-dropping Dance show every year that is a must see!!!! Beautiful costumes, very entertaining routines and will have you inspired at the end
