Evolutionary Home Builders
Our homes cannot be defined by style, price, size, or location. They are defined by their healthiness, durability, low cost of operation, and superior comfort. The company was founded in 2005 with the name Weiss Building and Development. In 2014, we rebranded, adopting our current name to incorporate the vision of what we offer into our name.

All past clients of Evolutionary Home Builders are still covered by our exceptional warranty. In its over 8 years of operation, we have provided the Chicagoland area with the highest quality homes and remodels with our passionate pursuit of perfection.
Services
At Evolutionary Home Builders, we believe that every home - like every person - has a life of it's own. Our homes provide a healthy lifestyle to those who inhabit their walls by using sustainable building materials designed to last and to give back to our environment. Evolutionary Home Builders strives to create homes that are built to last in a long-lasting world.
Our mission is to build the healthiest, most energy efficient, and environmentally friendly homes in the world. Our homes are constructed to the highest quality standards and utilize the best building science principles to ensure durability and comfort. We strive to provide each client with a friendly, stress-free building experience.
The true quality of a home lies deeper than what you see when you walk into a finished home. Although the finishes are the only sign you see in a finished home; the true quality starts deep within the wall, and performance is the definition of quality behind the walls. There are different types of performance behind those walls: insulation value, thermal bridges, air leaks, and moisture management.
Evolutionary Home Builders donates 5% of its new home profits to a land conservation project to buy up large tracts of biologically diverse land in order to protect natural habitats. Evolutionary Home Builders realizes the need to keep native habitats and species intact in their natural environment.
Evolutionary Design Build, a subset of our parent company, is our company arm that focuses on commercial buildings, mixed use buildings, and multi family projects. Environmental, regulatory and market trends are a growing opportunity for the commercial building owners. Investors, tenants and regulators are looking for energy savings, healthier environments, and greater disclosure of infrastructure performance.

They have a very high commitment to green and healthy building. All of their paints and stains are not only zero voc but also completely nontoxic. The carpenters, architects and painters are unlike other companies and always build and paint unique features in their homes. One really great point of this builder is that they use reclaimed wood and doors to bring a wonderful feel and one of a kind look to each and every home. Brandon the owner is probably the friendliest and down to earth person I have met and enjoyed working with him very much. In a day and age where our earth is being destroyed

Evolutionary Home Builders built our home a few years ago. The great thing about our home is that we know we got the highest quality construction - period. We have many friends who built homes with different builders and hear complaints from them all the time. We just don't have any of those problems and it all comes back to the details of the building, the envelope, the lack of leaks, the efficiency, the materials, the exceptional quality tradespeople, etc. We also love the fact that our utility bills are a fraction of what we use to incur in a much smaller house. And, oh by the way, we don't

Brandon Weiss is an unparalleled builder. With Evolutionary Home Builders and his related companies, he takes health and performance to the highest levels. We have worked on about a dozen projects together so far, including the region's first five Passive House projects.
As an architect I have seen many projects suffer because the builder didn't have the knowledge or ability to deliver on our high-performance details such as air sealing, thermal-bridge-free connections, non-toxic sealants, paints, adhesives and cabinetry; but EHB and Brandon actually go above and beyond our specs.
