For over 50 years, L.O. Eye Care, formerly Lansing Ophthalmology, has been the premier choice in eye care for thousands of mid-Michigan residents. From routine eye exams to diagnosing eye diseases, and advanced surgical procedures to eye emergencies, our goal at L.O. Eye Care is to help adults and children of all ages put life into focus.

During a routine exam, your L.O. Eye Care doctor can uncover vision abnormalities and systemic diseases that affect the eyes.
We are committed to making sure our starting rates are competitive and comparable to the marketplace. In addition to pay, we offer great incentives including longevity and referral bonuses. All regular full-time and regular part-time employees of L.O. Eye Care, as well as their spouse and dependent children, are eligible to receive complimentary routine eye care services once per calendar year.
Eye Care, formerly Lansing Ophthalmology, was founded in 1960 by Dr. Justin Sleight and Dr. Raymond Hogg, two ophthalmologists who believed strongly in helping those in need. That tradition continues today. The doctors and staff of L.O. Eye Care support community organizations throughout Mid-Michigan.
A cataract is a clouding of the lens of the eye. Cataracts are a common cause of vision loss and cannot be reversed. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, cataracts affect more than 20.5 million Americans over the age of 40. Unfortunately, cataracts cannot be prevented; however, you can slow down the development of cataracts by wearing sunglasses with UVA and UVB protection and eating a diet rich in anti-oxidants.

I've been going here since 2015 had Shingles in my eye. Dr. Yeomans is wonderful. He also noticed an issue with my other eye and sent me to one of the other doctors there too. Ended up it was cancer. They fixed that all up too. I would recommend this place for ALL your eye care needs, they really are the best.

The Coolidge Rd location specifically is absolutely terrible. My doctor is very good but I made the poor decision to come to this location to see her. Crowded beyond belief took 2 hrs for an eye exam. Every employee is rude or incompetent. Will hope to never return here. Shame they closed the Lake Lansing one.

Find anywhere else. Don't go here. I went in to have my eye examined and everything was going fine and normal until this employee who was doing the eye exam pulled out a tool she wanted to use to check my eye pressure. Pulled it right out of a drawer. It wasn't cleaned. There was no protective covering on it. Completely unsanitary. Then when I told her she wasn't touching my eye with that thing she completely freaked out on me. Turns out that's the only way they check eye pressure and they literally won't proceed past that point unless you let them touch your eyes with dirty tools. I asked after

LOL Eye Care. Just like every other eye care place they are trying to sell high priced reading glasses. Just like lens crafters, they were surprised to find out I needed corrective lenses. Really, you mass sell reading glasses or something? They then got my prescription backwards and wanted me to take defective glasses home with me even after I told them I couldn't see anything with them. They re-did the exam and the doctor stated the prescription was written backward. So I get the second set and the blue blocker is missing from one of the sets. Now they want to charge $600 to put it on them. I

The problem isn’t the eye doctors. They were great. The problem is the optical retail section.there has been some friendly staff there too. The issue is once they sell you a pair of glasses you are on your own. I had 2 pair of glasses I fully believe were defective and since the issue occurred after the one year warranty they would not do anything to help, cover any replacement cost, or work with me. A pair of sun glasses should not snap in half falling from an ottoman to the floor. My reading classes, they couldn’t even tell me what went wrong. All the special coatings and finishes degraded

I was seen by Dr. Lewis for what turned out to be an ingrown eyelash. I was able to be seen within a week. Upon arriving at L O Eye Care, I was able to check myself in quickly. I saw the assistant in less than 5 minutes, and she preformed a quick exam. I waited about 5 minutes to see the doctor. He gave me a brief exam and gave me my treatment options. Would highly recommend.
