Driving through and we wanted to see what all the hype was on this hotel. Nice large rooms. The only thing is, I'd suggest putting a piece of plastic to protect the water from leaking all over the floor. Careful as the shower floor was slippery. Short drive to main attractions on Lake Charles. The staff were absolutely wonderful!

The Mulberry Hotel is beyond excellent!!!! We stayed here for our wedding night, before heading out for our honeymoon, and they absolutely went far above our expectations! We had extras waiting for us and it just topped our night off. During the booking process they were kind, generous, prompt, and so easy to work with. I will absolutely stay here again, the rooms are so clean and setup nicely. Very spacious! I just can’t say enough good things. Every single aspect was perfection.

Our stay here was nothing short of spectacular. From check-in to check-out, every employee we came in contact with made us feel very special. If you’re visiting anywhere within a 20 mile radius, I’d highly suggest staying here. The rooms are incredibly spacious and include everything you could need to feel at home. I might visit Lake Charles for no other reason than to stay here.

Do yourself a favor and stay here if you are in Lake Charles, La area!!! Cleanest rooms I have ever stayed in. To my knowledge there were no unrealistic thermostat regulators in place so I controlled the rooms temperature not managements. This can be very important when visiting South Louisiana. Bed was so comfortable I slept 12 hours straight.
As a female traveling alone, safety is always a concern. I felt very safe from the moment I drove onto the property. The parking lot is well lit and parking spots available. They were also very aware of who was coming and going.

Wonderful , clean , great service and the beds are to die for . In my cross country trip this was the first best night sleep I got . I stayed an extra night because it was so comfortable!
Owner gave me a call to ask if I was OK and if I needed anything.
We had a very nice personal conversation which we both enjoyed . Best hotel in the whole area .
I'll be back for sure .

I was quite pleased with our experience. My wife isn't usually into off brand hotels, but gave it a try because of a lot of good reviews. So I wanted to pay it forward. The only reason for 4 and not 5 stars was the mediocre cuisine that i was told to try by the front office. Other than that, tip top! This will be our stopping point on the way to the gulf coast from now on!

Beautiful property, stayed there to have a "meeting" with the owners, he's shady af. Following me into the bathroom for no reason and screaming in my face.. no deal dude. The rooms are beautiful, they missed on 50 or so small things that could make this SMALL concept a potential franchise. I prefer to stay a boutique hotels and after meeting the owner I must say.. the ho Jo on the other side of the freeway is 1000 times better. Just my humble opinion. No breakfast while I was there either.

Very attentive and accommodating staff; owner personally involved with daily operations. Super clean and well maintained. Hotel tucked away from main thoroughfare, so doesn't get the drive-by visibility of mainstream branded hotels. For us, this was a plus. We visit Lake Charles a few times a year and will make this our hotel of choice going forward.

We were traveling back from vacation and stopped here for the night. This is a small hotel, only 2 floors, no pool. It is very clean and nicely decorated. We were very happy that our party of 16 (5 rooms) were able to be accommodated on such short notice. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The owner was in the lobby the next morning as we were having breakfast and checking out. He was very friendly and kind to our family. The hotel has a continental breakfast which was very tasty and well stocked with a friendly staff working the breakfast area. We were happy to find this nice

Wow! This hotel opened in May 2018. The decor is absolutely beautiful! The rooms are very nice and the beds are comfortable. The breakfast includes a selection of cereals, oatmeal, grits, juices, coffee, waffles, fruit and a variety of pastries. The staff here is extremely friendly and helpful! I would highly recommended this hotel for your next stay

I booked a room for my future daughter in law this weekend before her wedding, which is now my daughter in law (love). From the booking of the room to checking out was easy and professional. The lady at the front desk, (Kayla Ellzey) was fantastic to work with. She brought me to look at the different levels of rooms and we chose the King Suite. The rooms are beautiful, clean and perfectly sized. I am a local citizen and have been involved in local government for many years and it is always nice to see a new business done professionally and bring value to our city. Everything about our stay was perfect. I especially appreciated the owner, Mr. Baggett making a point of thanking us for staying at their property. I've never experienced that level of customer service from any other hotel. There was a little confusion regarding the room that I selected initially, however the staff went above and beyond to accommodate our request. There was a covered patio off of the Breakfast area, however there was no place to sit. The property was recently opened, so I assume seating will be added at some point. I spoke to Mr. Baggett and he is committed to his guest
