Doctor Megan Berry Swadell, DACM, L.Ac. is both a California and NCCAOM Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist in the beautiful town of San Carlos, California. Her previous career was centered around cancer research, where she worked at a number of esteemed biotechnology companies, including Genentech, as a Research Associate in Small Molecule Translational Oncology.
The short answer is "Yes!" I see patients every day with a wide variety of complaints, from the common cold, to irritable bowel syndrome, insomnia, arthritis, anxiety, hot flashes, to allergies. You name it, I've treated it. If you've been suffering, and haven't yet found a solution to improve your quality of life, acupuncture and herbal medicine can likely help!

Meghan provides everything one looks for in a medical professional - she is experienced, knowledgeable, and impressively attentive and empathetic. I first started going to Meghan for acupuncture in 2016 after throwing out my back. Within a couple days, I was able to walk around with minimal pain and within a few months my back was fully recovered. Megan is the best acupuncturist I've ever been to. She is such a warm and caring individual who really takes the time to thoroughly listen to everything I have going on. Her treatments have helped me heal from sooo many different things. I broke my elbows, wrist and had a concussion after a bike fall. I had issues with a crown so my jaw was tight and causing me to bite my cheek. I had gastro intestinal issues. I've got an area that is numb on my hip. I've also had a slew of emotional issues. Megan has truly been a blessing. I began seeing Megan for fertility reasons and found that she was not only the PERFECT person for that job, but also a great soul to have in your life. Megan is so caring, compassionate, and knowledgeable about the body and nutrition that I've been going to her for the past 4 years to help with my fertility process and best prepare my body for pregnancy. I learned from Megan more about the infertility treatment process and what's going on with my body than I did from any of the doctors / clinics I was getting IVF treatment from, so I've felt more comfortable about the daunting process thanks to her.
