Built for Frederic B. Pratt, one of numerous sons of Charles Pratt, who resided in Glen Cove with the rest of his brothers and sisters. Designed by Charles Pratt between 1917 and 1924, this home sits atop Poplar Hill and very close to his brother George's house 'Killenworth.' Charles Pratt (1830 - 1891), the Patriarch, was a capitalist, businessman and philanthropist.
First, I would like to say my experience was amazing from top to bottom. When I first arrived, I received a warm welcome from a member of the concierge team, and shortly after, another concierge stopped by to make sure I had a pleasant arrival. Along with the concierge team, I was greeted by my nurses, my physical therapist, the CNAs, and a member from dietary to make sure all my needs were addressed.

No communication from house doctor and staff to my Mother or to the family. Can rarely find anyone who is in charge at any given time. Call buzzers wil not receive response in a timely fashion. Meals are late and always cold. Consistently trying to push prophylactic pain killer (Tylenol) and antibiotics.
Two stars reflect the physical therapists and occupational therapists.

Honestly I can't even give this rehab 1 star. It was beyond awful . My dad was transferred from at francis hospital and was at the rehab for Less then 1 week . The care was beyond awful . My dad would ring the bell and no one would come . People were in the hallways screaming for help and no one would come . My dad needed help to go to the restroom and No one came so I need not explain what happened after that. I had to bring my dad home and care for him at home . I would not recommend this place to anyone . It's a disgrace that this place is even in business. My mom had to spend nights

The care my Mother received was great, the staff are courteous, they kept me well informed, it is highly recommended. I especially want to give recognition to Karissa, the concierge, her help and thoughtfulness and compassion were to be admired, she answered each and every question and took in my opinion responsibility and leadership in her demanding role which Glengariff should be appreciative of and know that she represents the facility outstandingly and should be recognized for this.

My three month stay at Glengariff was an excellent one. I was on the first floor and everyone on that floor was so kind and so giving and their laughter was something that comforted me. I felt completely at home. My physical and occupational therapists were A1! Then there was Karissa...from Concierge, who attended to every need and request that was asked of her. She was an amazing person who always greeted me with a smile and made my time at Glengariff memorable! I would recommend Glengariff to everyone!!!!

It is a pleasure working with Glengarrif . The administrator, Simon Furst is very involved and very helpful. The social work team is very involved in the patients care and has great Communication with the families .Many residents have expressed their satisfaction to me and stated they have seen many positive changes. It is a very friendly and welcoming environment. Rehab and Nursing is outstanding.

She introduced herself just shortly after my Mom arrived. She gave me her card along with her cell # in the event that my Mom needed anything. Throughout my Mom's stay, Karissa has been Helpful, Compassionate, and Sincere. The staff was also friendly.
Karissa was even there to wheel my Mom down to the front door to see her off and wished her WELL! My Mom THANKED her for a PLEASANT stay!!!

My mom was here after emergency surgery for 6 weeks and we are so grateful and thankful for every staff member at the facility. We would especially like to thank Karissa the concierge for her kindness and knowledge,!!!!! The facility is also super clean! My family had a great experience when my dad was staying at Glengariff. We knew that he was being taken care of and the staff was always friendly. Having the humorous staff helped my dad recover quickly and helped him get back to the sarcastic person he has always been! The facility is beautiful and it makes being away from home a little easier. Karissa was always especially helpful and caring! She was always offering support and ways to help us get what we needed ASAP. There should be a Karissa at every Healthcare Center :)

Love it, feel like I am living in a mansion with lots of help. Love Karissa she was a amazing concierge and she let me feel so welcome and very happy. Norma is a such a nice and very helpful assistant. Maria the nurse made my stay very comfortable. I recommend it to all my family and friends. Everyone has so much love to give and made me feel comfortable. I recovered quickly thanks to the awesome PT Noel, Carlo, and the rest of the staff.

My dad just returned home from a three-week stay at Glengarriff following his discharge from St. Francis Hospital. The nurses and aides on staff at Glengariff were courteous and attentive to his needs and wishes. The therapists who worked with him were extremely professional and competent, not to mention the convenience of their on-site dialysis center. The entire facility is meticulously clean and uncluttered, and you can always count on Karissa checking in to make sure that Glengariff’s residents are comfortable, happy, and have everything they need!

If they had 0 stars I would give that. Our family member went in before COVID came again and we had been very careful not to have them exposed. After a series of falls and no covid we let them go here. After being there 2 months suddenly they had 16 people overnight test positive. Their positive rates continue to increase by 2 to 3 daily. We had a window visit on a Sunday looked like they were in a daze, dirty, nose running only to be told later that night their Positive for covid and out of their room. Fallen at least 5 or 6 times since being there. They are very aware being a fall risk.

My brother was supposed to be in glengariff for a few days per his doctor at the hospital. Glengariff kept him for a week and a half due to poor coordination between staff. When he tried to explain this to a male nurse he was antagonized with, "you could be in here 2 or 3 months." I left many messages with staff that were not retuned. One nurse supervisor responded to my Friday message on Sunday night at 11:00 pm! She woke me up.

This was such a horrible place. The staff was awful especially the supervisor Sara. Mary and Edna were very good. The staff didn't seem like they were interested in working there and lacked communication. It was very difficult to get through especially extension 2261. We couldn't even understand some of the staff when they spoke because they didn't speak English that well. They ignored my fathers needs and left him alone most of the day. They didn't motivate him to try to get him better and because of that he had to go back to the hospital. This place will make you even more

My 76 year old mother has been in this facility for a month so far getting rehab after chemotherapy, because it weakened her so much. During this time I have called numerous times to the Dr., the nurses and the therapists. I HAVE NEVER GOTTEN A RETURN CALL FROM DOCTOR AND HAVE NO INFORMATION REGARDING HER HEALTH! The other lines never answer, I can only get through to the operator. The staff is dismal. The food is terrible and they barely feed her. She has bed sores. They forget to bring Tylenol. Our daughters wedding would have never been the same if it was not for Glengariff Rehabilitation Concierge Antwon Brown. My mother Maria is presently in the facility for rehabilitation post knee surgery. And based on the current orders from NY State , and my mother's lack of social media / digital savvy, she would never been able to see her first grandchild wedding. But Antwon wasn't going to let that happen. Using his personal device he took the time to give my mom access to FaceTime and allowed her to virtually interact during my daughters socially distancing wedding ceremony.

If I could rate this sh*thole a zero I would. Place is unbelievable. My grandma is currently staying here and I can't do anything but complain. The aids are awful. Careless. Rude. Not friendly. Clearly don't care about helping the patients, just here to make a dollar. The wrong food is delivered from the kitchen CONSTANTLY. Better off bringing your own meals for whoever you're visiting. Called the kitchen to tell them they sent the completely wrong meal up, something she DOES NOT EAT, asked for the meal she ORDERED and was told there was "none left." She was offered two

My mother was a knee rehabilitation ward resident for a week and somehow by the end of the sixth day they had still never put her name on the list to receive meals. She had to argue with a nurse for every meal, waiting while her roommate got a meal promptly.
I had to call many times over multiple days before I could get through to anyone other than an operator, but when I finally got through to a nursing supervisor on day 6, they fixed the problem. I just can't believe I had to call.

I've been to many facilities on long island and have to say Glen Gariff is one of the best. Like most places, sometimes you have to be diligent with what you need. Kevin Cahill, the director, has always been very helpful to aquire everything my friend needs for her illness, even if it meant going to an outside party to get it. The aides and nurses are great. Nurse Jackie is our favorite along with Salida our aide. At times they get very busy and its hard to get things but all you need to do is ask. No one ever answers you with a bad attitude or dismisses you as if you're bothering them

They nearly killed me! Checked in Sunday after total knee replacement and got sick on Monday morning. I was violently ill with vomiting and diarrhea, I complain to them how sick I was and they would not get me a doctor. I kept insisting on seeing a doctor but it never happened until four days later when I finally insisted to go to the hospital. Turns out I had a bowel obstruction that if left untreated could have killed me. I am now one week in the hospital and have not been able to get any physical therapy for my knee. STAY AWAY from this incompetent uncaring place.

Not a facility that I would recommend!..It looks all pretty on the outside, but there are many inconsistencies here. New company just bought this facility. I'm assuming they have a lot of kinks to work out. To give you a small example of the idiocies here the staff and physicians take priority in the parking spaces close to the door. Visitors have to walk down a steep staircase to access parking?? If you could believe, they're are only four parking spaces designated for handicap....in a nursing home/rehab facility??...that just doesn't make sense!

Beware of this facility!!!! Don't judge a book by its cover. The care here is very inconsistent from shift to shift, especially the 11pm- 7am shift is a HORROR SHOW. INCOMPETENT/UNCARING/ UNPROFESSIONAL people. I would NEVER-EVER recommend placing a loved one or anyone else in this Place. Dangerous!!!! Go Elsewhere
