At the centerpiece of our efforts is our fleet of wheelchair vans. Each vehicle is built to meet the American Disabilities Act requirements. All vans are inspected daily, all vehicles are placed through a rigorous preventative maintenance program all year round by a DOT certified mechanic.

NEMT stands for Non-Emergent Medical Transportation. It is an area of medical benefits that has grown as Americans have begun to age and entitlement programs such as Medicaid have expanded. Generally, NEMT is defined as transportation services provided to patients who are not experiencing an emergency, but a traditional taxi ride is not an appropriate service due to physical or mobility limitations.

Incredibly unreliable. They are supposed to transport my elderly father to memory care, and they are frequently 20 minutes early or late, in an inappropriate vehicle (far too high for him to climb in) and with dispassionate drivers that don't know how to care for elders. I am always concerned that my father will suffer a fall because of this company's incompetence.

I highly recommend switching to a different cab company. The only thing that I like about Axel is their drivers. The drivers are very polite and friendly! My main complaints are with the distributors. They aren't very good at communicating with the clients and are very rude. Bad attitude and just such a hassle. Not worth your energy or time. To all the Axel drivers, y'all rock!
