This place is phenomenal! Literally everything was on point from our wines to our entrees. Everything was super well made and super tasty. I highly recommend it. They also have live music today and they are good too. The atmosphere is just awesome.

Good atmosphere. Full bar. A nice place for date nite or out with friends. The citizens of Hill and Bosque counties needed a place as Olaf's.

I've come twice now for brunch. The food is exemplary. Great attention to detail. Today I went with girlfriends and our bartender, Brandon was very nice and made me a custom concoction. Gin, hibiscus, lemon topped with champagne. I had the fried chicken with jalapeño corn and a potato casserole. The da lord were excellent. Our server Ryan was very kind and attentive. If you haven't given this place a try I highly suggest it. A little gem in Clifton.

Really neat atmosphere! It's located in an antique mall. The service was spectacular. The waitstaff was very accommodating. Dinner was good. Not the most amazing food, but worth the stop.

I found this place on Yelp while staying in Crawford for the weekend. It was a short drive to the restaurant and definitely worth it. We liked it so much Friday night that we came back Saturday night. The meatballs, NY strip, filet, rack of lamb and pork chop were so good. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the staff was friendly and prompt. I believe the owner recognized we were there twice back to back and made sure to thank us and check on us to make sure everything was to our expectations.

Tonight was the first time we have returned to Olaf's because of covid and my husband was so disappointed. The food has always been very good in the past. I gave three stars because the chicken breast in mushroom sauce that I had was so delicious, but the filet he had that costs twice as much was terrible. The cut was very bad. It was the tail end of the loin so part was overcooked and the other end was raw. The steak had a very tough tendon running through it. This is the first time he left part of a steak on his plate.

Cute and cozy little place in the back of an antique store. Food was great and surprisingly fresh and flavorful. There is an outdoor seating area with live music and an indoor bar. I would highly recommend.

Friends urged us to try Olaf's. My cousin and I did. We couldn't have been more pleased. Exceptional food, service and atmosphere. The salmon was cooked to perfection and served with the best potatoes ever. Our Lemon Drops were perfectLy smooth and chilled. Olaf's rivals any high end eatery in Dallas, Austin, SF or LA. High end, yet down-to-earth, inviting, friendly, and our new go-to restaurant to take friends and family to show off Texas eating at its fines!

We stopped here in between Waco and Breckenridge, not knowing anything about Clifton. I saw a picture of their mashed potatoes somewhere and I was in. We had the "Complicated" wine and the special of the day. Every bite was scrumptious. We loaded up leftovers and they were still yummy the next day. The Bailey's coffee was well made and beautifully served for dessert.

Great atmosphere going into antique store into a an old library atmosphere. Nice reception by owner but downhill from there. Wanted grits over fancy potatoes dish, up charging for everything. Drinks and wine list limited but prices were not. Had shrimp cocktail with 6 small shrimp and dab of cocktail-sauce from a jar, that's it and shrimp were were small, nice to have had a cracker but assured it would be an up-charge. Salmon was good but no condiments. I believe it to be farm raised. Overall it is fine just good restaurant trying to be high end but has away to go.

I recently had the pleasure of helping to throw a surprise birthday party for a dear friend. I cannot imagine an event being any easier to plan or execute. Our group was all ladies and our intent was to honor our friend without being "too much". Our request was "happy hour style" self serve wine and nibbles so that we could mingle........I just have to say that Olaf and Chef Liz NAILED IT! The presentation of the food was impressive, the variety ideal and the build your own s'mores a stroke of genius. The service was attentive and everything tasted wonderful.......THANK YOU to Olaf and Chef Liz

Love Olaf's for being a great dining spot in Clifton, having good to great live music & food! 3 stars due to consistently poor wait service; you'll have a good time/be ok if you're prepared to wait 10-20 minutes in between water refills, etc.
Love the rotation of different food offerings. Smoked Bree Plate pictured below.

I've never waited this long to eat a mediocre dinner and paid so much. Ever. We arrived and they couldn't find our reservation but could seat us promptly so no big deal. We ordered the shrimp cocktail, meatballs and flatbread for appetizers. The meatballs were really tender and the sauce was great. Nothing special about the shrimp cocktail and the flatbread was similar to those I've ordered through a drive thru sandwich shop. We had the blueberry mojito and jalapeño margarita and both were really good. All the appetizers and drinks came out in a timely manner and then it was as

Wonderful New Years Eve dining at Olaf's! Chefs Elizabeth and Mark created a memorable menu. This upscale restaurant in downtown Clifton is a real gem! Well worth the drive, and for folks in Waco or Hillsboro area, not a long drive to one of the best dining experiences!

We have not yet dined in, so this review is based primarily off of our take-out experience.
The Good:
- The wait-staff was outstanding. They were informative, patient and professional.
- The chicken was cooked to perfection. The flatbread was delicious. The salad w/ blue cheese was a pleasant surprise.
- The interior was unique and definitely sets the place apart from a traditional restaurant experience.
The Bad:
- For the price point, the meal portions were rather small in my opinion, particularly the salad and the shrimp appetizer (what can I say, I enjoy shrimp and need more of it! =)

Oh first time Olaf's in Clifton. We are new residents of Bosque county. So wonderful to have such a gem of a place to visit for a great evening to celebrate. The service people was excellent(Samuel was our waiter). The food was excellent and the atmosphere on the outside patio was enjoyable. We didn't know there would be live music. The Bosque Gent's were great.
My husband and I agree this is our date night out.
I had a video of the Bosque Gent's but was unable to post. If you haven't heard them I recommend them great performance.

We didn't know what to expect, but this restaurant is top notch. The service was incredible and the food spectacular. We are used to high end restaurants in SD and LA and this rates right up there. It was my husband's birthday and he was very pleased.

His is a gem in a most random location. Olaf is well trained and everything he serves is 5 star delectable, with well versed and attentive waiters.
Make a reservation to ensure social distancing during China Virus pandemic. Indoor and outdoor seating as part of an antique store with huge and varied stock. Well worth the drive. Restaurant only open Wednesday, Thursday, Friday , Saturday evenings and menu changes weekly.
Excellent wine list, and weekly cocktail specials.
Live music on patio

You Must have: the Blueberry Mojito .

Three entree's , 2 salads, one cocktail, 2 bottles of Russian

After a full day of working on the farm, 13 miles west of Clifton, hubby and I decided to head into Clifton for dinner, not knowing what we'd find open. We live elsewhere and usually have our own groceries with us.

We got a late start leaving and pulled into Clifton about 20 minutes before the kitchen closed. We missed a turn for someplace we were trying to find and ended up by the square. Seeing all the cars, we figured something was open, as we could hear music once we pulled in.

That's when we noticed Olaf's and decided to check it out. What a pleasant and welcoming surprise

Made reservations Saturday afternoon for a 7:30pm arrival. Olaf's combines an antique store and restaurant. It gives the patrons something to do if they arrive early. We were seated at our table and had a band providing background music.

Good selection of appetizers, salads and entrees. Drink menu was good as well, however, I was a little surprised that the wine list did not include any selections of the two local wineries in the area.

We started with a flatbread appetizer, followed by shrimp crab cakes and salmon entrees. We ended the meal with bread pudding and two latte's

We finally had the opportunity to try Olaf's and we'll definitely be back! The food was amazing and the service first class. We came in pretty late, closing time late. They were happy to seat us. Our server, Courtney, was delightful, as was the rest of the staff. We never once felt rushed. The live entertainment was the icing on the cake. It was a pleasure to meet and hear the beautiful voice of Miriam.
I wish I had photos of all of it. The salads were also delicious. I had the Caesar, my husband had the house. The cheesecake and creme brûlée did not disappoint. There wasn't a
