AMAZING! Dr Doan was very nice and thorough. For the first time I did not feel any anxiety during the exam. They also have a different machine so you don't have to do that "blow air in your eye ball" kind of test! Hilma was very nice and helped me find a pair of glasses that I loved! I did not feel rushed and I also did not feel like they were trying to sell me the most expansive thing in the store, they look genuinely interested in pleasing and make sure I liked what I was getting regardless of price. Their equipment is state of the art, high end! The doctor will explain everything

I need s change from my old eye center and found Optix in my.neighborhood. They took my insurance Check!! From the first call to make the appointment they couldn't have been nicer. We got an evening appointment and didn't wait for more then 5 minutes. They were efficient and professional through the whole exam and frame finding. Peggy was great helping us pick out frames. I picked out a pretty expensive pair of frames and there was no issue finding something a little more in the budget. It was a great experience . Totally recommend them.

I first started going here based on good reviews. At first they were great. Sharon is the best and very kind. She is the only good thing about this place. She gave me free contact samples to try until I was happy. They do a great eye exam. I will give them that.
Unfortunately though they are not good with kids opthamology. I brought one of my kids in for their first contact lenses and the girl Nicole or Brianna was rude and frustrated easy. She should not be teaching. I had to bring them in again as time ran over, after an hour. Second time I asked for someone else. It went okay but it wasn

Wow...I should have read these reviews more thoroughly before going to Optix. While I had a positive experience with my eye examination, I paid almost $1,200 ... apparently for the examination, contact lens fitting and new glasses. I was only informed that they decided not to apply my insurance coverage (and to apply a "promotion" instead) after I questioned the total. To my knowledge my insurance coverage was supposed to have included (covered) the cost of the contact lens fitting and new frames (at least according to the insurance carrier's literature in which Optix is listed as

The doctors are so thorough! I had an issue with my eye which my previous optometrist couldn't diagnose, but this doctor was so patient and not only found the problem but also fixed it!

Dr Zalaznick is very understanding and an excellent eye doctor. I have used her for 20 years and actually followed her to her current practice. Dr. Z was my follow - up eye doctor after I received the lasik eye surgery. She is extremely thorough and honest and is very easy to talk to about any eye problems, concerns or questions I may have. She also examines my husband and daughter. I recommended her to many people. We are all pleased with Dr. Zalaznick. 5 stars, fantastic doctor!

The initial person who did some testing was ok. Standard. Doctor was good. She was young and attentive. Sharon the receptionist was pushy but accommodating. Everything was adequate until I went to decide on glasses or contacts. The girl with the short hair gave me a hard time. She was cold and unhelpful. Maybe her name was Jen or Judy. She had brown short hair and blue eyes.

Just received my new glasses which capped another amazing experience that was started with great service and ended with a great product.
A week ago I went for my exam and brought my 3 year old for his first ever exam. I technically only had an appointment for me but they got my son in as well. Multiple Doctors on staff so the wait wasn't long at all and they made the experience for my three year old so enjoyable making him laugh and teaching him about eyes.
They even gave him a children's books about eye glasses!

I am extremely disappointed with this store. A few months ago I went in to show how scratched my lenses had become. They were less than two years old. The man behind the counter barely looked at the glasses and almost threw them back at me saying "They're scratched"! Genius, I knew that! He claimed he could do nothing at all to help me in an ungentlemanly way. Nasty. Flash forward to today. Overpriced. It was almost $200 just to get new lenses put in my old frames! And they don't even do it in-store, they send them out which takes 2 weeks. Also they convinced me to get the most expensive brand of contact lenses so that was another few hundred.

I had my Rx for glasses completed elsewhere but their eyeglass selection was awful. After googling, I came across Optix in Plainview. I took the 30 minute drive & was very pleased. I walked in and tried on several frames until an employee came over to assist. She ended up picking the perfect frames and I was processed expeditiously.
Can't wait to return to pick my new glasses up!!

I was raised to treat people the way I'd want to be treated and people will treat you the same "behavior breeds behavior" treat people well and people will treat you well. The negative reviews are purely people that think they're above every and disrespects people. I can honestly out my hand on my heart and say I didn't come across a single negative person.
