If you have Panic Disorder you may suffer repeated and sudden attacks of intense terror or apprehension that make you feel like you are dying or going crazy - for no apparent reason. Symptoms can include racing heart, shortness of breath, chest pain, lightheadedness, numbness or tingling in limbs, feelings of unreality, stomach or bowel symptoms, sweating, trembling or choking.
My work rests on the foundation of a caring and compassionate therapeutic relationship. I do not view my clients as only their diagnosis or as somehow defective. Instead, I see them as unique individuals desiring to improve their lives. I look for the strengths that are inherent in each of us and seek to provide a supportive, respectful and trusting environment in which to solve problems.
The Agreement explains my fees, insurance billing, etc. Please note that I am an "out of network provider" for insurance plans. Also, remember that you can use your Health Savings or Flexible Savings Account, if applicable. If you would like me to consult with another professional regarding your care (psychiatrist, primary care physician, another therapist, etc.), please print and complete the Authorization for Release of Information.
I recommend many of these books and DVD's to my patients. They may help them to learn more about their condition or treatment, or other issues that come up in therapy.
