Our family portal provides transparent real time information for families 24 hours a day 7 days a week. The Family Portal was built in order for families to stay actively involved in their loved ones care. This unique feature allows, among other things, for real interaction with our company and staff, as well as oversight of shift work, review of the care plans.

Case Managers: Our case managers are all licensed social workers or registered nurses. The role of the case manager is to discuss the needs of the individual and determine how we can best serve those particular needs. Case managers are always available by phone and will periodically do scheduled home visits to re-asses your needs and determine how we can better help with the changing times.

We've been happy with the services we received when we received them... the bottom line, though, is that customer service needs improvement. The communication from their therapists to our family just wasn't there - in the end we ended up with confusion and missed visits because the same problems continued to arise over the three months we worked with them.

We interviewed a caregiver named Ruby, and the interview went well, or so we thought. We scheduled Ruby to start two days later. In the interview, she claimed that she had experience with dementia, but that was not the truth. She had no idea how to handle the dementia behavior of my mom. She also said she was willing to work 24 hours while our regular night person was out of town for 2 weeks (then she'd go to 12 hours). Everyone from VA Home Care that we’ve come across have been wonderful. The Owners, Staffing, Case Managers, Caregivers have all put my infant son’s needs first and advocated on our behalf. Being fairly new to this, the owners were well educated about the process, the system as a whole, and we felt comfortable reaching out with questions if needed. Our main caregiver is literally heaven sent and has made such a great effort to have a strong bond with our son. So far, everyone who has substituted has been great as well.

VA Home Care Services provided me & my family with such dedicated care illustrating the entire process from the initial assessment to the ins and outs of the care provided on a daily basis. The nurses, office staff, and owners were all accessible, however, the most comforting was the amount of commitment and diligence devoted to my family during a time when I really needed it. This company has helped me in so many ways. The staff was amazing, professional, and extremely compassionate.
