Our school is home to six award winning competition lines. We teach the best in recreational and competition dance classes, offering quality instruction in the following types of dance: jazz, lyrical, tap, ballet, pointe, hip hop, and musical theatre. Spotlight Productions Dance Studio has been a part of the Eagan community since 1992. In that time, we have grown to become one of the top studio's in the country! In 2011, Spotlight was invited to the first ever FDC World Dance Championships in Dallas, Texas, where our students took high scores in many categories.
Mini Program: Dance dresses, leotards, and skirts of any color are accepted. Tights are recommended, but are optional. Hair needs to be secured back and out of dancer's face by headbands, barrettes, or pony binders. No street shoes or clothing allowed! This is extremely important in order to allow the teachers to see correct alignment, which is crucial to proper dance technique.

I enrolled my daughter in a recreational jazz class this year taught by Justin. He was demeaning to the girls and one girl after another kept quitting the class. That was the first red flag. The second red flag is he would have the girls stretch for over 20 minutes each time, and it was only a 45 minute recreational class! I emailed the owner about our concerns and intent to leave the class and never received a response. I would never recommend this place.

An absolute studio of excellence. Our daughter is starting her third year there and she has improved dramatically. This studio trains to each child - yours won’t get left behind because the staff is always making real time, constructive corrections. We love the team of teachers and the selection of classes and the best part is- the teachers all still dance professionally and are great examples for their students on dedication, technique, commitment and teamwork.
