Patti grew up on Long Island and received her degree from Hudson Valley Community College in upstate New York. After receiving her degree, she moved up to Connecticut with her husband Lou. She worked for Dr. Gene Renz for 26 years, many of those part time while she raised 3 children. After his retirement, Patti was fortunate to join Dr. David and Dr. Judy Fales' practice and is looking forward to her next adventure with Dr. Ruslan Maidans.

We make sure all our new patients feel welcome, safe, and taken care of. During your first visit, a dentist will review your dental and medical history, we can then examine your teeth and take X-rays of your mouth. The dentist will then explain any issues and help you choose the correct treatment if any issues arise from the examination.
We offer customized payment plans for all of our patients, our approval process is instantaneous and every patient can qualify with an active bank account (subject to status). Our personalized payment plans provide flexible payment terms, fixed interest rates and allow patients the freedom to select a plan that works best for them.

The staff at this office from the door you walk in to the time you leave, every single one of them were amazing, kind, friendly, and not judgmental. I get major anxiety when it comes to dental work, so much so that I usually won’t return for follow up work. Gold Star is the most comfortable dental office I’ve ever been to. I will be back! Guaranteed!

I always have a good experience when I have an appointment. Dr. Maidans is friendly and explains everything very well. I've been going there since 2018 and I've had a root canal and a couple crowns done and I haven't had any issues with any of the work. The hygienists and the clerical staff have always been very friendly and helpful as well. I moved to Middletown a year ago so they are an hour drive from my apartment but it's worth it to me to keep seeing them.

Our family highly recommends Gold Star Dental, Dr. Rus Maiden and their dental hygienists too. Skilled and professional plus they are great with kids too!
From personal experience, Dr. Rus Maiden is an amazing dentist and truly cares about your comfort during dental work. He is highly skilled and fixed several bite issues & “food traps” for me. He listens!

This dentist office is amazing. For those that are intimidated about anything dental (I was one of you!), please know Gold Star Dental is different! Completely professional, courteous and friendly, they cater to your every need. I now have no fear (I used to be one of those that would rather go to the DMV than the dentist) of walking in this office. If you dread going to your dentist, try Dr. Rus and his staff. 5 stars, no question.

I was a new patient as of today and I was originally unfortunately TWENTY minutes late for my set time yet the staff were patient, compassionate, and so helpful. I wasn't rushed even though I was late and that was a relief. I can definitely see why this place has 5 stars all around. If you have anxiety about big offices, this is a small cozy well kept office. Safe to say I think I found my place!

5 Star for Patty the Hygienist - she knows dentistry. Her style of cleaning is methodical, she informs you of what she sees, she is a professional and doesn't talk to you about her life nor does she ask questions about you or your family during the appointment. I stopped going to dentists from 2013-2018 because of the hygienists. I couldn't deal. With Patty, I am in the best most dental professional hands to date!!
