I called Woodside Animal Hospital a few days for an emergency with my cat. The receptionist was very cold and not friendly at all. I understand they didn't have any openings, but she could have been a little more helpful and nice. I called two other places and their receptionists couldn't have been any nicer. Please work on your customer service.

Professional and friendly staff. Prices are competitive with similar businesses. Can be crowded at times. Parking limited during peak times. Four spots in front, on Woodside and 6 in the rear, with one Disabled spot. Veterinarians knowledgeable and animals respond well to their touch and voice. Recommended to all with small animal veterinary needs.

I really appreciate this place. I am new to the area and was the first time I've gone to a local vet. They operate efficiently and have friendly, respectful, professional staff. They didn't try to oversell me on services, they just treated my cat at a very reasonable cost and gave good advice.

Our 13yr.old fur baby had a few rough weeks with her arthritis and mobility.
So we called to make a "quality of life" exam appointment with our regular Vet. Like most vets right now, they don't allow the parents in the building for regular appointments and not even euthanasia appointments.
I'm sorry but that's just cruel and insensitive! Pandemic or not ... it's not right!
So I called Woodside Vet...(3 minutes from our house)
Anthony was super empathetic about our situation and gave us the soonest appointment.
And assured us that if euthanasia was the recommendation

We have been going here for years and always felt like they took excellent care of our dogs and us. Today was a different story. With an appointment I was still waiting to be seen a half hour later. When I called to see what the status was I was spoken to rudely and then hung up on! I left without my dog being seen and will never return again! Service has definitely dropped!

My cat needs tooth extractions. I took her to a highly reviewed vet from Yelp. They gave me a very high estimate ($2000-3600). I decided to check around a bit more before agreeing.
I found this place via a recommendation from a friend (first thing I loved) and then found out that they're WAY more affordable than every other vet I've talked to so far. I was given an estimate of $450-500. While that sounds a absolutely amazing I had to wonder why, so I asked. The reason I'm giving 2 stars is because I have literally no clue what they offer or what their general extraction procedure

I have taken my little dog to this vet for about 3 years now and I have taken some of my other pets to this vet over the many years i have lived in this area and i never had a bad experience until today.. I wont be going back, I wont spend my hard earn cash on any business that has as poor customer service as this has.. Bad Bad Bad.. and all I can say to the two vets that run this place is "those two ladies you have that run your front desk are rude, disrespectful, and extremely bad for your business!! Love the great prices and ease of getting an appointment however the blonde haired woman at the front desk needs to b replaced. She is VERY rude, doesn't even make eye contact or acknowledge our concerns and treats us and our pets like crap. We drive all the way from PB to come here but are currently looking for a new vet only because of the way we are treated by the front desk woman EVERY time we call or come In for an appointment. We're bummed because we've been coming here over 15 years but to drive that far to be treated poorly isn't worth it.

We've been coming here for years because it's close to where we live, but I think it's time to find another vet. These people are very money hungry and give little to no compassion for your animal. I feel that they don't care about you or your pet, and while they can be pretty reasonable price wise, they still aren't the best around, especially for the lacking care they give. Also, there seem to be many miscommunications coming from the front desk and it seems to be a surprise to them every now and then when we show up for a scheduled appointment, or bring both dogs when

The ABSOLUTE BEST care anyone could EVER ask for! I drive twenty minutes to pass 8-10 other vets just to see this staff. My little dog Luis has been there since adoption, and they are always friendly, knowledgeable, and go the extra mile for anyone who obsesses as much as I do. Thank you Woodside, I feel extremely fortunate to know each of you.

My husband and I unfortunately had to put our cat down earlier this week due to cancer, and Woodside Animal Hospital made everything so much easier. Everyone we came into contact with was nice to us and nice to our fur baby, which we appreciated because I'm sure it made him feel more loved. I just got home from work and checked the mail to even see they sent a handwritten sympathy card, which we loved. Unfortunately never been here with him before this event, but if we get a pet in the future we know they'll be taken care of here.

I can't say enough good things about these people I love them so much this isn't the first animal we've had to bring here and I'm sure won't be the last but what we thought was a small problem turning the big problem and they were the best they were quick and got all those darn foxtails out of our dog's nose 12 of them can you believe that thank you thank you thank you for everything you put my teenage daughter at ease

Woodside Animal Hospital is the best. Not only are their office staff friendly and professional, but Dr. Porte is the best dr in San Diego, hands down.
She is very knowledgeable about different breeds of dogs and common problems with the different breeds but also took great care of our hamster when he was brought in for an injury.
We wouldn't dream of taking our pets anywhere but here.

I get that there are mixed reviews but the negative ones I read seem almost shocking to me. I've adopted two dogs from Helen Woodward and they offer discounts at this clinic with paperwork from Helen Woodward. I've visited this clinic multiple times and have nothing but good encounters. Both from the women up front and the staff in the back. They always gives me the information I need and the prices are very fair. I've even been able to make same day apts twice with no issues.
If I had any complaint it would be the parking. It is dangerous at time trying to back out of their right

Amazing experience here today. My son's mouse Cicero had some kind of rash on his face. We called all around for the best prices, and woodside animal hospital as the best "to be seen" price. Plus only one other place had a mouse doctor.
They set us up for the next morning, a Saturday, when the other places only had people didn't have someone there on Saturday. It was in, she did tests on the mouse and gave us the medicine, explained it plainly for my 14 yo son to understand what he needs to do for his mouse, and then out again. We paid happily and it was a great first vet experience

I wish I never took my puppy here ! This is a case where 1 star is too many.
She was spay on Monday, Wed. at 1:30 I called as she was acting sick, the secretary said I should get her in immediately. I said ok I am on the way, then she said oh were closing at 2pm, come by tomorrow...the vet is about to leave.
I said I am only 5 minutes away. No she actually has already left. ??? BS !
They obviously could care less about there "patient" so I took her to Mast Animal Hospital where she got great treatment ! Review to follow !
