Tom Dixon graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. He is a Professional Engineer with 42 years of experience, spending 12 years working for large engineering firms and 30 years in his own consulting firm. In that time, he has designed custom homes, high rise buildings, highway tube tunnels, municipal recreation centers, and space shuttle launch support structures.
He has also spent over 20 years as a special inspector for threshold buildings.
