John is a talented and professional stylist - beyond amazing! The condition of my hair was dire. I hadn't received a haircut for one whole year because of CoVID shelter in place. And right before the pandemic, had went from my natural brunette to blonde. Can you imagine?? John brought back volume, texture and LIFE back to my mess of a mane. He matched the color and placed highlights perfectly too. The salon is kept clean and safe for clients. Top notch all the way!

First time with this salon was great. Had an appointment with John. Friendly, made me feel at ease in the salon despite my usually feeling out of place and uncomfortable in most other hair salons. Great with covid-19 protocols. Will definitely be going back again!

It was with a little trepidation that I tried Salon Novo for the first time after going four plus months without a cut due to the COVID shutdown. My fear was short-lived, however, as Andria shaped my shaggy mane into a neat, clean style.

I went in after a terrible at home dye idea, with pink hair. John was very nice, he did his best to get the dye out, and then gave me a wonderful haircut. I had a great experience, and left with the best haircut I have had in a long time.

I experienced the worst blow out at Salon Novo. My hair is not smooth- it's wavy and frizzy, I asked for curled ends and it is straight.. the stylist got water down my back and charged me more than the online quoted cost saying since she is a stylist that she charges more. I could have done a better blow out at home and saved a good chunk of money. Won't be going back. I do not recommend Salon Novo for basic blowouts. *I will also note that Saturday night after I posted this review I received an inappropriate text to my phone from the owners of Salon Novo asking me to take the review

My husband and I planned our 20th wedding anniversary vow renewal in Sonoma, and I needed someone to do my hair and makeup. After reading reviews I chose Salon Novo. Right away Letecia responded to learn what I would like for my updo and makeup. She kept in contact for the couple months leading up to the appointment. I am so glad I found her because she did a beautiful job with my vintage inspired French twist with a bit of modern flair, and kept my makeup more natural to go with my vintage look. I love Sofia at Salon Nova. She really wants you to leave happy with your hair. She also takes classes to make sure she’s updated on new styles, products and procedures. Sofia is fun to talk to and you leave happy and feel as you have spent the day with a friend

Sophia is amazing. She does my highlights and keeps my cut sharp, natural, I don’t even have to style it much. My kids love getting their hair cut and styled by Sophia too, for reference, I have a boy (12yo) and a girl (11yo).

I must of had the wrong stylist as I picked this place based on the excellent reviews. Stylist was tardy, didn’t have organic color that I read on their website was the product they used. My color turned out botched up with spots of uneven color and she had “no time” to correct it. There was no manager to speak with. I went to another salon a week later that corrected the color. They said she must have used stale, old product. Too bad, I had high hopes.

I first came to John after contacting him via email re: a horrendous haircut I received. Well, that bad haircut turned out to be a blessing in disguise because he is an excellent stylist and colorist. Even though it will be a few more months before “the bad cut” is completely removed, my hair always looks great after he’s done with it, and it did the first time I saw him.

I have "new salon/stylist phobia" and haven't cut my hair in a year and haven't put color in it in over 6-8? I decided it was time for a much needed change and upgrade to my hair as I only wear it in a tightly wound bun. I booked with salon novo because of their availability and great feedback and reviews. Called this morning to make a wash and blow out appointment. I asked the man who answered the phone what the charge was and he told me $50. I thought this was pretty high but was desperate so agreed. Leticia the stylist actually charged me $60. When I told her I was quoted $50 she disagreed. Not very customer service oriented. She did a fine job but nothing out of the ordinary to command $60.

John is the best. He listens to what you want, responds honestly, and puts great care into his work and your hair. This salon is wonderful...such friendly people!

John cut my hair for the first time recently. I must say "I got what I asked for" . "I was totally happy with the cut I received along with the relaxing shampoo and condition" as part of the cost. Very professional, very polite, excellent service. He made sure I was happy with each step he took, before he went on. I would definitely recommend John to anyone seeking a hair cut. So nice to finally get a hair cut exactly as I requested. You might pay a little more than you normally do, but to me, it was worth every penny.

I decided to treat myself to a day at the salon while visiting family in Sonoma. I made an appointment the day of after talking to the salon owner John on social media! Sofia was brave enough to take on my thick head of hair and gave me the most amazing experience I've ever had with getting my hair done. The color is beautiful and looks better than I thought it could. Looks like now I'll be flying across the country to get my hair done! It's honestly so worth it. I can't say enough good things. Whoa! Not only did I make my appointment through text message (so easy) it was really simple to find just a few mins from Mission Inn! It was perfect timing so that I could get back and finish my bathing ritual, massage and 8 course meal at Sante looking really svelte with my sexy new 'do.
