Founding partner James T. Connolly (1916-1997), a native of Newburyport, returned to the city after law school to practice law with his father, who had offices in Boston and Newburyport. During World War II, he left Newburyport and served as a captain in the U.S. Navy. After World War II and the passing of his father, he settled in Newburyport where he continued to practice law.
