Services
Criminal Defense Attorney Bonavita understands that a client's concern is often not just the current crime itself, but also the immediate and lasting repercussions of that offense. Often, clients need a criminal lawyer who is concerned with issues such as license suspension, maintaining their current job, or the impact a conviction could have on future education or employment.
When I tell any truth it is not for the sake of convincing those who do not know it, but for the sake of defending those who do. It is extremely intimidating when you have been pulled over for drunk driving (DWI) or Operating Under the Influence (OUI) and a police officer asks you to step out of your car.
If you have been arrested on charges for committing a violent crime, you may be facing either jail time or perhaps civil restrictions on your freedoms; the alleged victim may even have pursued an Abuse Prevention Order (Restraining Order or Harassment Prevention Order). Violent crimes are taken very seriously in Massachusetts.
Located in Newburyport, Ma., Criminal Attorney Kristen Bonavita has handled thousands of Drug cases in the Massachusetts State District and Superior Courts. As a former prosecutor in the Narcotics Division of the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office, Criminal Attorney Kristen Bonavita is an Essex, Suffolk, and Middlesex county criminal lawyer who understands what it takes to prevail if you have been charged with a drug crime.

In the spring of last year, I found myself in a difficult situation where I was facing serious charges and required immediate legal representation. A trusted advisor strongly recommended Attorney Bonavita’s counsel so I felt an instant sense of relief that I would be in great hands. Attorney Bonavita brings with her a culmination of years of experience, complete professionalism, a strong knowledge of the law she practices, and a level of empathy that put me at ease. I felt as though she listened to my concerns and supported me through the entire process. I knew when the time came, she would bring

Recently, I was in a rather dark place legally. I had no idea what to do or where to turn. I searched for attorneys, read Kristen Bonavita's bio and reviews, and made an appointment with her. Kristen's sincerity, intelligence, and knowledge of the law gave me hope. I didn't know anything about the legal system or what to expect, and Kristen explained everything calmly and succinctly so I could understand it. I put my complete trust in her. She worked tirelessly, and in the end, she won everything she said she would for me! In her, I am truly grateful and honored that she represented me!

After moving to Newburyport from Ohio, I hired Kristen Bonavita as my attorney last year for a civil case. Our condo association hired a company to perform a large repair of our condo unit. When all members of the HOA met with the company representative, he suggested that his company complete a task prior to completing the overall project they were hired for and committed to perform this task. While performing the overall project, I was informed the company would not follow through with said committed task. I wrote a factual 7-sentence "review" on a 'Review Website' and was subsequently sued for

Called Ms. Bonavita, to ask if she would represent me, and she called me back, was extremely caring, detailed, professional, understanding, helpful, and precised, in helping me with my case, and in my initial review in the case. I feel extremely that she cares, and that she feels this is as just as much of an injustice, as I do, because the arrest was based on gender, and I was actually the victim of a person either try to pickpocket me, or invade my personal space, which is wrong to do to both a man and a woman. She clearly cares, and does this for what is right,, moral, ethical, and legal, not
