We believe our residents deserve the compassionate care we provide to each one. For decades we have recognized the unique challenges of dementia care and ensure the best quality of life for all while providing peace of mind for their families. No one wants to see a loved one suffer from Alzheimer's or other diseases that cause memory loss and dementia.
But at The Independence House, my mom isn't just another patient - she's a person with thoughts and feelings who's treated with the respect she deserves. Making the decision to place a loved one is never easy. I can rest easy knowing my mom is being taken care of when I can't be there. And that is a tremendous gift.

Services
Our Administrative team together combines 30 years of experience with the Independence Houses. What really matters most is the staff. The people at the Mandarin House are the most caring and patient people we have ever had the pleasure of knowing. There are plenty of reassurances, hand holding and hugs to go around.
We provide individualized Lincoln assisted living and memory care that meets the needs of our residents in a home like setting at competitive and affordable rates. Some of these services are covered by Medicare or your insurance; ask your administrator. Otherwise, services are paid out of pocket, but the services are tailored to the needs of the residents.
Our Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public benefit corporation that helps charitable causes in our community. Every spring, we host a golf tournament at Woodland Hills Golf Course to raise money for the Foundation. It's great fun on the golf course, lots of prizes and a wonderful meal in the evening. Every fall, we host a "Trunk or Treat" Halloween event for kids and their families; lots of fun, games and candy for the kids; free to the public.
If you are caring for a loved one with Alzheimer's or another form of dementia, likely this question is on your mind. Your loved one may be able to live independently, or with family for quite some time. But sooner or later, there will come a time when that person requires more care than can be provided by you.
